- FedUpChase placed unneeded hazard insurance on our property after living here for 8 years with no need for it from the beginning because they "believed" we didn't have insurance on our home. Our insurance company sent them the information 3 times verifying proof of insurance with no lapse in coverage. All 3 times Chase said they never got it. In the mean time they were rejecting my payments due to "insufficient funds" because I wasn't paying the additional $400 a month to cover the bogus hazard insurance increase. So my insurance company had to call and get someone on the phone to verify our coverage. So despite Chase saying oops, our bad and removing the hazard insurance, the went ahead and foreclosed on our home and now we have been in litigation for over a year trying to get Chase to reinstate our mortgage. They kept trying to come up with totally unrelated issues to try and hang us with, like saying we missed a payment back in 2006 when the mortgage company was still Century 21 mortgage. So being the diligent book keepers that we are we pulled the mortgage information from '06 and proved them wrong. It is to the point now where Chase's lawyers will not even respond to our attorney's letters, emails or phone calls. Believe me when I tell you, Chase does NOT want to work with anyone, they only have these "help" programs as an aesthetic show of goodwill. We had a Chase employee tell us over the phone that they themselves couldn't even deal with their own foreclosure department, that these people were impossible to deal with and when they get a home in their sites they do not want things to work out for the homeowner, that all they had their sites on was taking your home, then she disappeared, no one "knew who this person was" and we were told that no one worked there by that name. Sounds like they dealt with her.
- ARenterI got this hand cut notice today. It said it was from JP Morgan Chase, so I got Chase's actual number from their website. The woman who answered the phone said Chase would NEVER leave a notice like this. I don't have a Chase account, but I know that the mortgage goes through Chase. However, she said that it is not legitimate.
- JennI got a strange door hanger on my door today with this number saying it's urgent - I called the number & it claimed to be chase & asked for a social or account # - thing is I don't have a chase account & I live in an apartment. Seems logical that it's a scam or A- they'd get their account holders address right rather than sending incompetent fools to deliver door hangers; B- their door hangers would have more info than a handwritten phone number & would be on letterhead or feature a logo - chase isn't so short on cash that they can't afford a printed card for your door or a business card; C- the number you call goes straight for your info - no hold music or automated ad message like with their other lines.

- tbassett| 2 repliesThis is definitely Chase. We had filed for a modification. The underwriter had tried to call us and was unable to reach us so they had someone come by. They were needing more information that was not in the packet that Chase had originally sent to me. Be sure to call them, wouldn't want you to lose your home because they did not obtain the information they needed.

- BillAll scare tactics. They will find every phone number and call it over and over, even cell phones. They will leave notes just as described on your front door. They might even call your place of work as they have mine. They will send letters saying they want to help. Trust none of it. As one other post said it is all show of goodwill. They spend MILLIONS on advertising saying they are doing so much. It is BS. Surf the internet, the blogs, forums, youtube videos, lawyers websites, NACA's website etc will say it all .The calls....debt collectors trying to squeeze anything they can out of you before foreclosing on you anyway. They work on commission. GET A LAWYER!!. The lawyer will protect your rights and keep this soulless company IN LINE through this disgusting / heartbreaking process.I am in the middle of a loan mod and based on everything that I have read it probably won't happen, if it did, I would be worse off than a renter. They still call. The still leave notes. In fact they called today on my cell and the lady said is this Bill, don't jerk me around cause I don't got the time for this. I was like......."goodbye". I have a lawyer, and I am in the middle of a mod and they will harass you anyway. So many people suffering. Thanks Chase.. The Way Forward huh....? Good luck keeping that identity while you continue to foreclose on peoples futures.

Just becarefull peoples about those special guys.

- crock-a-stuffReceived this note in a 3x5 white envelope placed high on my front door. You notice they don't dare send it through the mail system. If ever I saw a fraudulent piece of stuff, this is it!

- Dee| 1 replyWe watched from our security camera as a beat up car with a scrappy looking male walked up to our truck parked in the driveway and put something on the tailgate. He looked at our other cars and then walked back to his car which was occupied by a few other scrappy looking people. They sat in front of our house for about ten minutes and then drove away. We retrieved a gold colored envelope with a cheap piece of green paper that had this phone number scribbled on it. Nothing else was handwritten on it. It does not say who its from. It says,
This is in connection with an attemp to collect a debt. Any information obtained will be used for that purpose. It is important that we talk with you.

IMPORTANT CONFIDENTIAL NOTICE
It does not say anywhere who its from or who its to.
I called and the recording answered as Chase. Recording asked for last four digits of SS.
I did not give. It then asked for account number. I did not give. Recording said it would pass on to representative. The woman who finally answered was soft spoken but bitchy. She kept telling me that she was being professional and to be patient. I told her that I was recording the call and she said that I did not have permission from Chase to record the call. She had some difficulty finding our loan. When she found it, she said that we had to go online and print out ten pages and then take them to a Chase bank for a loan modification. I asked her what that was and she said it was very similar to a refinance. She suggested that we could do a short sale. We only owe $86,000 so a short sale would sell quick. but she didn't know that we have a 2nd mortgage of $250,000 on it. I told her that we were not interested in selling our home She was quiet but pushy. She made me cry and I am a tough cookie. We are late on our July and August payments because we have been out of work since October and have no income other than small jobs we've had. Not enough to pay our bills. She said we are in default and we need to pay the two months as soon as possible. I told her that we are working as hard as we can to make the July payment. She said Chase will foreclose when the account becomes 4 months due.
No one can convince me that Chase helps anyone. They are only concerned with what money they make and how many consumers they can stress out. This customer is totally stressed !- Caller: Chase

- Scammers replies to cscndThis is a scam. The number provided is not JP Morgan Chase, It's a number with a name "Chase" in it. The bank would be contacting you directly and not through the use of trailer trash sales reps and a flimsy envelope if the bank needed to.
Sure call the scam number provided by this scammer "cscnd" and you will certainly be scammed into giving out private information and contracts under false pretense and misinformation. Scammers are everywhere, just take some time to investigate and deal directly with the bank, not a third party. Go directly to Chase's website www.chase.com. Do not deal with these crooks. - Bewareofscammers replies to kit landyEither you are one of the scammers infiltrating these websites to spread your lies or you are really dumb. Seriously? You just call a number that someone hands you about your bank payments and you don't even question as to why the bank would not be calling you directly? You don't even bother to call the bank's real number provided in your banking statements or Chase website. You just "ASS...Assume" it was Chase.
Be Gone Scammer! - BewareofScammers replies to tbassettIt is not J.P. Morgan Chase. All you scammers do is put "Chase" in one of your cheap fliers and you intentionally mislead the ignorant that you are an official rep from J.P. Morgan Chase. Again for those of you reading this and who have been contacted by this trashy scam, DO NOT DO NOT call them! Call your bank directly.
Notice this gang of crooks do not say that they are an official J.P. Morgan Chase rep with an official J.P. Morgan Chase number and logo. Just go to www.chase.com or call the number on your official bank statement. - Bewareofscammers replies to DeeYou call a number from a flimsy piece of paper delivered to you by a "scrappy" looking male and you continue to call the said number and deal with this company without once thinking to call your bank directly or visit their official website? Ahhh..."Ignorance is bliss."
If you spent half the time you did to write this confusing post and use it to questioned the validity of "scrappy"strangers claiming to be bank representatives, you might not need a security camera afterall....:P! - Gonso LiveIt's got to be bogus! Found a plain envelope on a door of a house I paid cash for. Stupid note to call this number urgently. If it wasn't BS they would have more personal information on this note.
People be smart, don't fall for these scams!!
The people that write in saying it is legitimate are the crooks trying to cover their tracks! - DBJust wondering if these guys are from MDS. a collector hired by Chase
