Wells Fargo guy told me I was a freeloader and steeling from them.
I am behind in payments owing to income reduction not me spending it having a wild time. They wont work with the rate until I quit paying.
Once I quit paying good luck getting me to start again.
They are rude and I dont know if it works with others but for me it is an automatic hangup.
I love caller id - they can call me 24/7 for all I care.

I get calls from these idiots several times a month. (As well as cards and letters saying here is a check for $xxxx for being a great customer)
Kind of crossed wires there somewhere because they refuse to acknowledge that I have never had an account with them (They ask for me by name as well as my Wife that has been dead for the past 3 years... Thanks for the reminder A$$holes). I call the local branch as well as HQ and they say that my name/number and SSN (As well as my wife) are nowhere in their systems. Then where did they get my info from? I am going to give them 2 more options to stop it and then will contact anyone and everyone including the attourney General, Postmaster (For the letters with their bogus 99% interest check loans), BBB and local Consumer Affair Advocates from the 3 or 4 local TV stations and get them exposed on TV.

The FDCPA only covers third party collections.  If you have a relationship with a company, like a CC with WF, the FDCPA does not apply.

By the way get a google voice number, change all your phone numbers with your creditors to that, and have a peaceful day.

800-451-9849. Wells Fargo collections for credit card. Do not do business with Wells Fargo.  If you card is late even so much as 1 day, they will call you repeatedly, just minutes apart, and they will not stop, until days after you have made your payment. They will not help you, they do not care about you. They just want your money. They don't care if you lost your job, they do not care if you are sick or injured. Your best bet: don't do business with Wells Fargo, at any cost, if you ever want to have peace and quiet.

I lost my job and as soon as I was late three days the calls started from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm 7 days a week, multiple times.  I cut a deal with other creditors, but Wells fargo will not.  They bought Wachovia and they may go belly up from toxic assets and get a government bailout.  I will not even give them the time of day. Call all you want, I no longer care. WF, liquidate and may god forgive your executives greed.

WHY ARE YOU YELLING AT US WELLS FARGO EMPLOYEE?

Remember you are under NO obligation to talk to anyone on the phone if you don't want to. Unsecured debt means they can't collect a dime unless they take you to court and win a judgement against you. Check your local court records and you will see they loose these cases often. I have a friend who counter sued them for calling 15 times a day and won a nice judgement for harassment. And the $8.00 hour collectors are a joke, get a real job dumbas$#.

This is true concerning the FDCPA, however the original creditor is covered by the laws and rules of the FTC and state laws. (In my state that is 3 calls per week max).
The collectors at Wells Fargo and other businesses should be required to learn these laws in order to prevent large fines being imposed because of their ignorance.

I got tried of them calling me so I set the selective call forwarding feature on my phone so that it forwards all of their calls to our non-emergency police department number. They can explain to them why they keep harassing me.
I've told them repeatedly that they have the wrong number, I've never had any dealings with wells fargo bank.

    He he he
I realy find it amusing that all these large companies took taxpayer money to bail themselves out, including Wells Fargo who used the money to buy up another bad bank Wachovia.
It's funny that they want their money even when you don't have it, but won't give out loans or do any refinancing to help their customers out, but yet will pay super large bonuses to their employees...
It's all a big money racket.
These big companies should have never been bailed out by the government.
It would be completely hysterial if everyone left these banks high and dry.

Curby: I don't think you're the devil others might think you are and I do understand you have to look at everything completely objectively so you can do your job w/o your emotions getting in the way. The creditor took a gamble on already shaky income in some cases and is now discovering it was a bad move. It's not all so one-sided; it's not all black & white.  Both parties took a risk. While you’re in denial consider the fact that for many it’s a choice between heat and food for their children or paying your company. Be grateful for what you have and how well organized you are and pray that nothing shatters your perfect budget and life-plan and that you don't have to chew away at your savings or borrow to stay afloat. Remember if you don’t get good Quality Monitoring Scores you could be on the other end… Karma Curby, karma.
BTW, 605-782-5065 and 360-885-4395 are also WF.

I beg to differ. I attempted to call them after having majory surgery and losing a baby. Explained my situation, and as always, they were less then helpful. Told me there were no "plans" that I could take advantage of, and to simply pay what my normal bill was.

i got a new phone number and they won't stop calling me. i would pick up and say hello and then hear an automated voice tell ME to wait on the line. I hung up several times. finally I picked up when someone actually said HELLO back and they were looking for someone else who had ( must have had) this number before me. Even though I have told them SEVERAL times to stop calling me because this is no longer his phone number, they still call. will be calling the Better Business Bureau or anyone that can hear me out and have them stop calling me as it's cheaper than changing my number AGAIN.
