- Kevin replies to MikeThis is a phishing scam number. This is not Chase fraud department. They ask for your credit card number. You know they should have your number. They don't need you to tell it to them. Do not give them any information.
- Kevin replies to People are so untrustingThis is a phishing scam number. They want your chase credit card number.
- CNG replies to WTNBI went into my local Chase Bank with the email they sent me and the voicemail. Chase bank verified that this is not a Chase number. They didn't have my correct card # - phishing scam.
- VikingReceived call from this number advising that very recent transactions were denied. Did not answer call and let it come into our answering machine. I then called the customer service number on the back of the credit card, which is not the same number. Of course there were certain prompts and questions to verify that I was the holder of this card. The customer service person did confirm the there were two very recent (same day) charges, and I verified they were not recognized by me. So it was prudent for me to call anyway. The customer service person did not confirm or deny that the 800-454-9078 was a legitimate Chase number.

- Sara K.I declined a call from an unrecognized "private number" in Texas that carried a spam alert. Then a badly-mumbled voice mail from this same number mentioned Chase and said to call this 800# regarding recent credit card activity. Highly suspicious! Instead called the Customer service number on the back of my credit card to follow-up without fearing I was being scammed. If Chase has a dedicated 800# to alert and assist consumers in mitigating potentially fraudulent credit card charges, this really should be documented on the credit card itself to preclude so much time-wasting suspicion, stress, and worry.

- Nope replies to Anon E. MouseThere's every reason to be cautious - scammers routinely spoof legitimate numbers, which is why you should always call the number on your bank's website, from your statement, or the number on the back of your card.
- Michael r findlay replies to Mike| 1 replyPlease keep card on
Thanks - Tygerkat replies to Michael r findlayFirst of all, you're replying to a post from over 10 years ago. Mike is never going to see your reply.
Second of all, even if by some twist of fate Mike actually did see your reply, he cannot "Please keep card on" because he does not work for this company. He was reporting on a phone call. If you want to "keep card on" you need to call the number on the back of your card, not post randomly on the Internet. - JKDI got an email notification from what appears to Chase Fraud Protection Services. This email list two charges that were not made by me and listed this number 800-454-9078 to call. No way was I going to trust this. I called the number on the back of my card and sure enough these same two charges had been made against my card account. Cancelled the card. It seems to be a legit number but glad I didn't use it.
- DougLooked at my Chase account online, saw the fraudulent charge, called the number on the back of my Chase card. They removed the charge, they said they had to cancel my card and would send a new one.

- Scary| 1 replyI got a text today, 7/24/18, that my Chase card # is being used at this unknown place. I reply 2=NO since the card # texted to me is not recognized by me. Then I got another text that my card is blocked until I call 800.454.9078. He asked for my name, the tel # where I got the text. He said the card number give to me from the text is not showing on my file. He also asked my husband, name and said, no such number on his file either and said, it could only be fishing information. I got suspicious and called the number of Chase from my card. The person from Chase said, yes, I don't have that # on my file and nothing to worry as long as I did not give my full card # and/or SS#. He also said, the Chase fraud # is 800.955.9060. I hope Chase sues this fraud company because it using Chase name to get information from us. So scary because 30 minutes later, I got a call from 800.454.9078. I did not answer the call but instead, I put that number on my block list.

- Lani replies to MikeMy boss was just on the phone with Chase's fraud detection dept. and in the middle of the call this number called his cell phone. I declined the call. It isn't the first time he's gotten a call from that number, nor is it the first time he's gotten fraudulent charge text alerts since we got new cards issued 3-4 months ago.
- Lani replies to ScaryHey, same happened with my boss, he got that phone call from the 800-454-9078 number as well, after he had received a text alert and called Chase fraud dept. They 454 number called his cell while he was having a conversation with Chase on the office phone. My boss doesn't think that this number is a scam, however the number on the back of our Chase Slate cards is 800-945-2000.
