You're missing the point. The number may be real, but not the caller. It is so easy to fake caller ID now that you cannot assume who the caller is. Never give out personal information on a call you did not make. Never call back a number given to you in a fax, text, or email. Listen to the message? Sure. But if you have to call them, you get the number.

Have received two phone calls from this number.  Never a person but a ring to something else.  Had enrolled in a Humana Rx plan and told they would call to verify.  However, when they don't identify themselves I think possible scam and hang up.  They need to do a better job of verifying if they are doing so to meet Medicare requirements.  Maybe we should send a note off to CMS about this practice as from the comments I see above, they aren't really doing the verification just making calls.

They called while I was out.  My answering machine was on but they left no message.  Caller ID just said 800-457-4708.  I have a policy with Humana, but I don't give information to anyone who calls me.  If they call back and want any information I will not give it to them.  I have a Humana agent.  I know his name and phone number.  That's the only person I give information to.

1-800-4708 # called, I answered, but no one answered. I looked the # up. It was Humana. I had just signed up for the RX plan with my Ins. agent.  Don't need anyone calling that can't speak when I say hello.  DON'T CALL BACK!

Yes, that is what I was told when I signed up.  But when the phone rings and no one is there, when the phone rings and the caller ID says "unavailable," when you call back and are told "our computers are down and we can't tell why you were called," that's not the fault of customers not listening to what they are told.

800-457-4708 is a legitimate number for Humana. At least it is not a telemarketing call. I signed my wife up for Humana Medicare plan for 2014 after the horror of United Health Care. They keep calling to ask about their service, but their plan is not effective until next year! I keep telling them to wait until we actually use their plan to see if we have any issues.

This number has been calling lately and every time, the number shows up but the ID of the caller says "Invalid Number". I know the number to be Humana because their website says it's their Medicare Advantage line. Last night the number called and said "Invalid Number" and immediately I hung up on them but 5 minutes later, the same number called my house and when I said hello, it was like my number had dialed them because the other end of the line was ringing with a foreign lady answering as if I called her.

Hmmmmm, I just signed up with Humana recently, have already received all paperwork and confirmed acceptance and not sure why they are calling. What is odd is since I don't answer calls I don't know, it went to voicemail and the lady was leaving a message like she was speaking to a person instead of a voicemail.
"We are calling for humana and know that xxx (my name) recently signed up for part d service with us, it is a stand alone service and we are calling to see if you have any questions about coverage or your plan?"  Silence for about 9 seconds, and then she repeated the exact same thing she had said and then added " I am going to disconnect this call now if xxx (my name) don't have any questions. Maybe it was a bot that calls people??  I don't know. From reading these comments about getting random calls from this company once they have signed up, it looks like it is going to be a long year to use for prescriptions!!  lol  happy thoughts

received call from 4708,   no message,  checked the number thru  "BING".
Collected the insurance cards,  the numbers are different then caller "ID".
Was offered opportunity to leave comments after the call,  accepted; was disconnected, chance denied.
Their phone tree is not complete, was advised there is a redesign to be implemented soon!!!
Very difficult to contact live voice.   The contact was very well trained.   We did not resolve the purpose for
the original call.   She did not have any information.
The card does not state that senior care is available only during business hours "Eastern Time".
SURE HOPE THEY GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER!!!!  This could become a long trying year for health care.

They called me three times in about half an hour.  I did not even listen to the sales pitch because it was about medicare advantage insurance, which I already have.  The fourth time they called I did not answer the phone.

I was warned by the sales person when I enrolled over the telephone for a Medicare Advantage Plan with Humana that someone would call to confirm. I answered, but when she started to go into the same detail the original guy did, I just said "I signed up. I don't have time to go all through this again!" Hung up on her. It's harsh but why do we have to be held hostage on our phones?!

Just got a call from the same number. We recently signed up with Humana, so I called them. After 2 or 3 transfers, someone told me that it was probably a "courtesy" call to see if we had questions about our Humana plan, and that I could ignore it. When I said that I don't answer unidentified call, they said it was a third party making these "courtesy" calls for them. They also said that if it had been a more serious issue, like info they need to process our application, the number they would call from would clearly say Humana - unless it was spoofed, of course.

In any event, it appears a legitimate call, although I don't see much "courtesy" in it. And doesn't Humana realize that more and more people refuse to answer unidentified calls.
