I've been getting regular calls from them as well...most of the time there is no one there and I get a click.  I was in a particularly good mood and made sure that there was sound on the line until a live person picked up.  I cranked up the Springsteen. She asked for me by name. I said "Yeah, what's up?" and cranked the music further.  She eventually hung up.  I guess Springsteen isn't her favorite.

Figured it out... replies to james
I'm pretty sure I figured out why noone ever answers... I keep getting these calls too and when I answer the phone there is noone there.  Today however, instead of my normal business greeting I answered the phone with a somewhat brusk "HELLO".  Someone said hello right back.  I immediately asked why noone ever answers when they call me.  She didn't know.
Here is my theory...backed up by the way I answered the phone today.  I believe this phone number uses a program that tries to determine if a voice mail or a real person answers the phone when they call.  If they think it is voice mail they don't transfer it to one of their representatives.  If they think it is a live person (you) then they do transfer it to a live person who immediately starts to pitch you on a Bank of America Business Credit Card.
I normally answer my business phone with a long greeting that identifies my company name and me.  I have been told I sometimes sound like a voice mail...but it is me in person.

We'll see if they call back again...but if they do I will answer with "Hello" again and then give them a piece of my mind.  Hope this clears up why they don't answer and are driving us all crazy!!!!!~

I have received several calls from this number as well, the last time they called I told the girl on the line if I received one more call from a telemarketer I was going to kill myself, the I proceeded to ask her if she really wanted to be responsible for that.  So far they have not called back.  Also, once I did a test.  A telemarketar called from a credit card company and asked for the business decision maker so I made up a name and just said oh that would be Bob, but he's not in.  With in days I had several other companies calling and asking for Bob.  They are relentless, even as I'm writing this I just received another telemarketing call. ughhhhhh!

After a few seconds of silence, the woman asked to speak to the business owner.  I asked what that means and who is she trying to reach she repeated "Can I speak to the business owner".  Finally she asked if I was a business owner or if I was self-employed.  When I said no she said she had the wrong number.

I used to like Bank of America.  They were once really good.  Great corporate culture.  Excellent service.  Worth recommending to friends.  That all changed when they were taken over by the Charlotte NC freaks-n-geeks.

Are you reading this, you BofA imbeciles?  You've trashed a fine institution, what was once an asset to this country.  I'm in the process of canceling all six of my accounts with you.  Bye.

They call many times during the week and never leave a message, My calls go through call wave on the number they are calling to so I can see, keep, and time date stamp when rec'd.

This is what happens when all the major corporations outsource thier telemarketing to firms in several different countries who do not train thier solicitors/employees properly (they are subcontracted) and it does not take 20-30 days to remove a number from thier dialers...its a simple process and if that is the response you get when you do get them on the line ask to speak to management direct.

We get these calls every week. Usually no one there. If you answer 'hello', then they talk. If I get them I tell them they've called our product ordering line and I need their name, address, phone and credit card number before I can proceed. That reaction is not in their script, so they try to ask for the business owner. If I relentlessly demand that info they usually hang up.

Got a call this morning, they asked for me by name and said they would get me a Bank of America credit card. I really need a credit card for my business, so was willing to try it, except: I can't verify! The only information the caller can give me is the same 800 number they are calling from, which Googles to this list and similar complaints, plus the number at the end of her script (800-892-3219) that is apparently (from Googling) a generic "card services" number for multiple banks. When I called that number, I talked to a nice young (sounding) woman who connected me to Bank of America, who then disconnected me. Evidently whoever is running this operation (actually I suppose they are "legitimate", though I can't prove it) made no plan which would allow the prospective customer to independently verify that they are not a phishing scam. Sorry, BofA- though my situation is fairly desperate, I have to draw the line somewhere.

Bank of America sucks. I closed my banking account with them last year. I didn't know this until after the fact that they were making telemarketing calls to my home phone for weeks AFTER I ceased doing business with them. Had I had known, I would have joyfully reported them to the FCC for my phone # had been registered with the "Do Not Call" registry LONG before then.

Rumor also has it per Budd Hibbs, that their bogus accounts are bought up by the NOTORIOUS LVNV Funding....

    Go figure.

Finally got someone on the phone and they told me it would take 30 to 45 days to take me off the call list, which is BS, they have the technology to see if its voicemail or not but they need to send a carrier pigeon to the high grouds of Mt. Olympus to get it in the hads of he king of wilshire to take it off a database list.

I just got a call from 800 320-8710 asking me if i'd like a Business Visa Card.. Seemed ok til she wanted my SS# and was quite insistant.. She had me call 800 460-0659 # to 'verify her identity' which only seemed to make me more suspicous.. When I refused to give her my social, she went into hard sell and said it was such a great deal and i was passing up on a great offer..

While waiting, I found this site and figured it was a little risky.

I suggested she send a paper application and i'd do that but she was positive it would be lost in the mail and i'd lose my SS# that way..

End of story, I guess I'm not getting their credit card..!
