I get phone calls from this number once a month.  IT IS DTE, it is their automated system that calls
you to inform you that your meter is going to be read in the next few days...."Please don't leave any
dogs in your yard".  On occasion, there is no recorded message left....probably some glitch in their automated system.

Called DTE again today, told the lady I was not Michael Edwards, and she was calling a (989) area code and I have Consumers Power.  And that this is my cell phone.  Mr. Edwards, pay your bill and quit using my phone number.  I have had this phone now for 2 weeks.  They also informed me they would take this number off of his call list.  I think Mr. Edwards is just picking numbers out of a hat and giving it to the DTE people.  And of course they are stupid, to think someone with (989) area code gets DTE Energy.   Plus I received a phone call from them at 3:14pm, I called them at 11:30am this morning.  I am going to send them a bill for using up my minutes on my phone card, and contacting a lawyer about this matter also.

My mother has had two calls on her cell today. She did not answer them, as she doesn't know the number.  She is visiting here and we do not have that energy company, not does she.T

I don't even have DTE and they are calling me. I tried calling them but they can't verify my account with my zip code. Idiots.

Its just DTE alerting you they will be working in your area and asking that you please keep all dogs tied up for their safety.

it is dte just letting you know they will be reading meters in your area

No idea what DTE is I pay to Nevada Energy and this number just called and since alot of spammers call I didn't answer thought I'd look it up here.

We got the same call. DTE informing us that the power outage we reported was fixed...5 hrs after it was fixed. Nice going DTE!

Call in to the number, ask an agent to remove the dog notice from your address, no more calls.

I get a call promptly at 8:30 am every morning since i activated my phone. They're not even calling for me, but instead the person who had my number before i did. i cant seem to figure out how to get my name off of that list because It is automated. not only is it annoying at 8 am, but i cant silence it for fear that i'll actually miss an important call.

Messages above indicate DTE meter reading, but I thought the new "smart" meters didn't need the meter reader to actually come and read the meter.

DTE called me with an automated message to let me know that my scheduled payment did not go through.  Fortunately, I was already notified by e-mail and payed it because they called at 12:50pm and all payments after 1:00pm are posted on the next business day.

This number needs to stop calling me, has been calling a couple times a week for someone that is not me.

They called me at work and the message was so garbled and full of static I couldn't understand a word of it. They shouldn't be calling anyone at their work.

Just rec'd a call from 800-477-4747 on my cell phone - name at top was United States - no message left and nothing about DTE - and no reason they would be calling me.  From other posts it is DTE but who knows for sure who it is.

For Detroit residents. We don't have all that fancy equipment like other places.

I live in Pennsylvania, far, far from "Richmond VA" of the caller ID, and from DTE, never had any business with them, have had this phone number for thirty years or more, and why did they call us this morning at 10:12 AM?
