Interestingly, COFACE operates under several different names depending what they want you to believe when they call you.  In addition, they have also come under investigation by the FTC.

They also operate under the name "Newton & Associates" and have a habit of ripping off their own clients.

Got a call from them - guys name was  Ron Shane. Said he was from the Small Business Adminstration. Calling about a discharged debt. Made many threats saying " you think I'm playing just try me -- u'll have major problems--- we are not playing. We have done asset liability search and back ground search and know you can pay. You got 24 hrs to respond before we ruin your life "

If someone with your education, (check your spelling), is a PI, then no one has to worry about you or the company that hired you.  You are a disgrace to your profession, Mr. Tamplain!  What a JOKE!!!

Called and left a message on my cell phone, (wondering how they got that number), said they were investagating our companies assets and bank accouts.  We even got a case number to return the call. I called my attorney and he called the 800 number three times, and each time they answered with a different company name.  SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Of course noboday has ever called back.

PI called last thurs. and said he was going to check my assets,etc. and told me to call Garrett Tamplain in New Orleans.  Monday a woman from security intellegence called and inquired as to the president of the business and was he in (all public record). Early that afternoon Garrett Tamplain called and my employee answered the phone and greeted him with the knowledge that she knew all about him from the internet and that she felt as though she was talking to someone famous; he then hesitated a moment and was very nice and told her the business that he was dealing with. At this point I will only deal with him in writing.

Nice myspace page with your band's pictures.  That together with your atrocious spelling seems to indicate that your responses are not entirely trustworthy.  You people are a bunch of scammers and we have reported your company's call to our local police department.  The people you harass are just as capable of Googling you on the internet and finding out some information about you.
BTW- Albert Einstein didn't find that out.  "Every action has a reaction" is paraphrase of Issac Newton's third law reciprocal actions.

This company called my parents today claiming that they owed them $14,800 dollars.  They believe that my parents are a tire company.  They threatened them and were rude and used foul language.  I really don't think a legitimate company would allow their employees to speak to contacts in that manner or would have an employee use "web speak" when responding to concerns about their business practices.

"Linda Blair" from Coface N.A. called my cell phone to tell me that she had "not heard nothin' from nobody and that her client was going to file suit."  Really.  File Suit on WHAT exactly?  After reading what's posted here, I definitely feel that it's a scam.  BEWARE.  And, REALLY, Linda Blair?  From the EXORCIST?  Well it's good to know she found work after all that....

PI's don't call people up telling them all the details of
their investigations and what they plan to do or as they put it
what they "are Going to do" that sounds stupid. I smell SCAM.

WOW this company is something else, after the phone message we received, we then got a letter, my secretary called, and they are so unprofessional, rude and will refuse to even listen.  They actually asked if someone has come to "Visit us yet"  are they breaking legs or what?  They said they are turning us over to the courts because we refuse to listen.  I would love to know who made them god, if this was a professional collection agency, they do not send you to court after a 3 day notice. Frustration is all they are good for.

Got call on my cell phone - didn't answer it - caller ID showed 800-509-6060. I have also been getting calls (not answered) - caller ID showing "Unknown". They don't leave a message (so far anyway).

The boneheads actually left a message today. Some @$$wipe saying his name was "Jessie Chub" claiming to be a PI. (again caller ID showed 800-509-6060). Saying he was investigating me was hired by some b!tch (he gave same number as in called id) at Ext. 560. I saved the voice mail so I can give it to local cops!

Caller said he was doing an asset and liability investigation for a company I don't work for anymore. If they are truly quality private investigators, they should have known they were calling an ex employee at his home office. Send the documents required to my old boss.

these people are crooks!! the comapnies that hire tham have no clue what they are saying when they call. I played recorded messages from them to the company that hired them and they will no longer use coface. All the threats they make are illegal. If you record them you can pass them off to the FTC who has numerous complaints on this company right now

Got a call from Paul Gerber of profile invetigations saying they were going to investigate me ..than a hour later a call from Jennifer of ccna collections wanting me to pay a $11,000 debt ?  that day..glad I checked this out on line and on this site..reported it to the local sheriffs office..

I got a call on 7-21-08 from Jesse Chubb in LA, he left a message on my cell saying he was calling to investigate my hidden assets along with assets from my former boss, I guess he didnt do his research before calling, I was a former employee and not the owner. I noticed in a google search that Jesse Chubb was unemployeed recently and looking for work as a PI in LA. according to his myspace page he now works for CoFace.  My guess is he will soon be looking for work again. If he calls back I will record his conversation with his acknowledgement and submit it to the FTC.

My letters are prepared to send out to them prohibiting CoFace from contacting me by phone and forcing CoFace to prove I (a former employee) am liable for the business owners debt, if they cant (and I know they cant)they must cease and desist or they are liable for a fine to the FTC along with punitive damages from my own legal pursuit of them. Dot your I's and cross your T's and you will be the ones collecting from them and not them from you.
