They claim that we did not pay debit of $13,000.00 for a company that we never heard off, do any kind of business reallet to our business. We have a Motel. and the debit is for jewelry packaging co.   We do not have in our motel gift shop, a restaurant or sell any thing except book reservation for Motel.

For a professional debt collection agency using PI's; it's very funny that you are on this site bad mouthing people.  What I find even more comical is the usage of punctuation and capital letter, very legit.  I can see you are all very professional people by the English you write and furthermore acting like a 10-year old yourself.  Next time, if you want to appear more legit, allow me to give you some pointers:  learn to spell, use proper capitalization, learn the laws in the states that you are calling, and never - ever respond to these 800Notes as you look like a foreign/outsourced douche that has no business running collections.

A few things about Altus, as I used to work for them a long time ago (when they were Coface).

1: They are a debt collection company. Altus will cold-call businesses around the United States and Canada, all in an effort to find someone who wants to turn over bad debt.

2: Altus may threaten to send a PI over to your office, but only if the debt is over $4,000.00. And even then, it's just a scare tactic. There's nothing the PI can do to you. He or she will simply come to your business, take pictures, flash a badge, and that's the end of it. Your information comes back to us, we harass you on the phone a few more times, and eventually give up. Sure, we might offer the client the chance to sue. However, our rates to handle all the court stuff are so expensive, that most companies give up.

3: Since all of our tactics are scare tactics, just hang up on the person that calls you. They give up rather quickly. Especially if you change your phone number.

4: If your debt is below $2,000.00, they will simply harass you with letters in the mail. Toss them in the garbage.

In other words, good people, you have nothing to fear. Altus is a bottom-feeder debt collection agency, just like every other one out there.

Got a call at work from a Jennifer James. extremely rude and actually kind of comical at how tough she tried to sound just being on the phone. Im sorry but phone calls aren't as scary as you think Ms.James, calm down.

Around 2 years ago, we called the company to clean our kitchen. Afters a few days-weeks, they came to clean the kitchen. It was around December, 2014. They barely clean the kitchen and the bill was over $1000+. We complained and called the company, and they said we have to pay $700, and they'll clean again. We paid the money, but they never came back. We called the company and told them about this,'and they hanged up on us. 2 years later, the company send us an bill and told us to pay $1,100. That was a few weeks ago. Today, they called us and said we need to pay them the overdue money. We told the company about them not cleaning out kitchen, and telling us to pay the money. The person said she'll call a person to make sure about the informations and what happen. And, they hanged up and didn't call back.

I received a spoof calls from   Altus Global Trade. PAUL GERBER called (from this number 504-469-9545 caller id said Vancouver ,WA) saying he is a private investigator letting me know he is conducting investigation on me and he would be looking into all my assets and credit he said his investigation would take about a week, for his client Coface/ Altus and I should call 303-395-9279 and gave me a case number.
I hope they read this because I am reporting  Paul Gerber -Altus to caller id and spoofing | fcc.gov and there illegal ways for trying to collect a debt.  again to report these companies and Paul Gerber go to http://www.fcc.gov/guides/caller-id-and-spoofing

Received a call from Paul Gerber, private investigator, last Thurs about debt due to Altus GTS for an old debt they say.  When I tried calling him back there was no answer, just a voice message.  Something does seem funny!

They are at it again-2017, call from a Paul Gerber-PI left a message to call Marcus Kent with Altus Global at the above referenced 800 number.  I do not believe that this is something worth calling.  We are a business and we have no collections going on and I have not been notified by anyone regarding a past due ANYTHING.  I'm calling this one Bogus BS.  I have been through this before.  PS, you wouldn't need to hire a PI to find the company you can just google it and if they did then Altus Global's collection people are [***].  I think this is a lost lead type thing.

"Jennifer James" from Altus GTS,  lives  in Louisiana called to threaten that Altus GTS  is doing an "asset search", including notifying various government agencies.
