Call came in from "Microsoft". Forgot to check unwanted calls list and was scammed, but caught things before it could go too far. Please beware!

Called cell.  No one spoke when answered.  Blocked number.

It was a computer scam. I told the guy that I worked for Dell and had a PhD in Computer Science (I don't my PhD is in Higher Education and I also don't work for Dell). He started to ask me all these super easy questions about computers that even a novice could answer. When I continued to fight him, he proceeded to ask me for my personal number so that he could take me on a holiday. He then said that he found my voice seductive.It was MAD sketchy

Total SCAM. I had a call from "Officer Gail Stone" who said the social security administration was discontinuing my SS# due to suspicious activities attached to my number and to please call them back. Oh, okay. I'll get right on that.  People, please don't answer these calls. And DEFINITELY don't give your SS# to some random person on the phone.

I received an email from "amazon.com" saying my order would be delivered to Carolyn. The phone number on the email is not for amazon customer service, it's this number. It also says the package is being shipped by ATS and gives a tracking number, but ATS is Applicant Tracking Service, used to track job applicants. The total shipment is $6176.69, and both items were sold by "Jane Smith" because someone couldn't come up with a legit fake name. Just for kicks, i tried clicking the "track your package" link and nothing happened, just as nothing happened when I tried clicking the links to the items. I also went into my account on amazon and there are no orders, and the order number does not exist.
