It's a collection agency for various businesses.  I owed a bill to a hospital.

Some guy named Mike Glen keeps calling my house for my daughter. How he got MY number, I'll never know! He keeps leaving messages saying it was an important financial matter and leaves a file number. Whatever.

Left a message asking to call back. Here is some other information about them.

1-800-517-9304 calling day and night sometimes leaving a message sometimes not.  When leaving a message leaves a file.  Called back and was put on hold for over 5mins and finally I just hung up.

woman named grace left a msg to call back.  caller ID showed (888) 236-7619, number to call back was (800) 517-9304.

Received this call today for my semi-retired boss.  Caller identified herself as "Grace," left the number 1-800-517-9304, and said that was all the information my boss would need.  The posts on your website gave me the information I needed to identify the caller.  Also, I phoned back and they answered the phone, "J.P. Recovery Service.  May I help you?"

"Grace" also called me at worktoday, refusing to identify the business she was calling from, but requesting I identify myself first. When I laughed, she said she would call back and hung up. 800-517-9304

It's JP Recovery Services... debt collector for various companies. Cleveland Clinic, for me. They have left me multiple voicemails in which no one talks... I just hear heavy breathing and typing. Creepy, regardless if I owe money or not.

I am getting voicemails and hear no talking, just someone breathing. At least the 4th time in the past 6 weeks or so.

If u wonder how they got your number, here's what the idiots do. I wondered how a collector got my elderly parents phone number and started harrassing them for MY medical bill. When I thought about it, I figured it out. There was only one place on Earth that anyone I do not know could have gotten my parents unlisted number to contact them about me-they were listed as my emergency contact when I was admitted through the E.R.!! Whoever you list as your emergency contact when you go to the hospital is who these idiot medical bill collectors call. That's really low-life to call someone's elderly parents, or any other relative and should be considered an invasion of privacy. I dont have the money for an attorney or I'd sue the [***] for invasion of privacy and harrassment because they have no right to call anyone's emergency contact to collect a bill! By calling your emergency contact, they are doing so without your permission, without the contact's permission and divulging confidential information about you when they call your emergency contact! If they call your emergency contact, tell that person to tell them they will be legally charged if they call there again and hang up.

Report them to your attorney general and FTC.

Contact the attorney general and FTC file a complaint. I did it works! They will stop!

Pay your bills and they won't call you.

Only if you actually owe the bill, and to the original creditor.

Really Nan??? How did you get to a post about a collection agency? How did you know about this number? Keep your judgments to yourself.

Maybe "Nan" is Grace.  But here's another message for "Nan"...medical bills do not always come at a financially opportune time.  Sometimes people stuggle at the lack of medical insurance or the crazy high deductibles we are now all experiencing.  Try getting hit with a $2500 annual deductible and see how that affects your financial situation.

They called for not even a second and then hung up. Did not leave a message and they were very rude on the phone when I called back to see who it was. They say JP recovery services and I owe a bill to the Cleveland Clinic. I owe nothing to them. Actually I have a credit with them.
