- chadThis company calls you if you receive their so called final notice surveys they send. It is a legit company after I talked to my insurance agent about them. In their survey if you answers differ from your policy statement they report the info to your company to adjust your rate premium. Some folks may go down, but most increase due to folks being caught off guard and giving too much info. Ignore them, your policy doesn't change if you do

- NYpeachI called them back and its legit, they were checking up on a new policy I had gotten for progressive.

- TC-- "I didn't fill out the survey, and because of that I got a cancellation notice on my car insurance, so you might not want to ignore these calls."
they called my cell during working hours, I did not answer and left no VM. If related to car insurance like many people have posted, I had just added a vehicle to my car insurance policy yesterday but am not aware of any survey that I did not send back. - Former Employee| 1 replyAs a former employee of URI I can assure you the calls are legit....We do just gather simple information that YOUR insurance company does request and your policy can be cancelled if you don't return our call or participate in the information gathering process. We are hired by MANY insurance companies throughout the country for this process so while you find it to be annoying and "fishy" please take into consideration the person on the other end of the line which would be us the employess who have to gather this info we try to be as professional as possible so all we ask is you do the same for us :)

- JuanWhat's the reason for some people to leave a comment saying . "They called me and I didn't answer " . I'm honestly curious .
- Annoyed replies to Former EmployeeIt's "fishy' that AFTER I have made a change, gotten a new policy, etc... that because I did not send a survey on "How was your Service" or "Are there other services you would like to add" was not sent in, lost in the email/ snail mail/ telepromt/ whatever original gathering device, or simply I chose to not complete that survey... and now I am being called by an unknown source.
If that survey was THAT important, then it should be required BEFORE I completed my transaction with the company I am doing business with. Threatening to cancel my policy through a Third Party influence is Rude, Wrong and will certainly make me shop elsewhere. If something got missed, how the heck did I just get a new policy/change confirmation, etc??
Calling me during work gets you sent to Voicemail.
Not leaving a message telling me who you are, why you need me, etc will net you Zero Results from me. - MaryI don't have insurance through them and there is NO WAY USAA is going to cancel me because I don't answer this number. USAA deals DIRECT with their customers.

- Kayjust missed a call cause I was in another room. I did return a survey LATE. They left no message. Tried to call back but no answer and no voice mail. Assume it was about the survey but who knows. If my insurance company needs to update info, why doesn't my agent call me?
- CA Golden StateIt is a company hired by Ameriprise for auto/home policy to verify insured's info. It is a legit company.

- DHello Everyone, "No Independent Company" is allowed to call you and ask you ANY personal information!!!! If people answer private questions it usually leads to FRAUD. If your personal car insurance or auto insurance agent has any questions or concerns..."They" are "Required" to contact you to obtain more information that "They" forgot to ask. Let's Remember this Everyone!!!! "WE" pay our agent and our insurance company for providing us their service and insurance. Therefore, it is "THEIR OBLIGATION" to get the information correct....Not Ours!!! Don't be fooled by this company. By Law, they cannot help your insurance cancel you because you didn't answer their Phone calls or their Survey. A Survey is Just a Survey. It is Not attached to your insurance Policy. I hope this reminds everyone to ...... "Be Smart"

- Mcalled about 6 PM ... voice mail activated for about 4 seconds, no message left.
- AnonymousThey left a voicemail with a reference number asking me to call back regarding my AAA insurance. I have no AAA insurance so did not call back. Based on what others have posted here I can expect them to call again. The caller spoke very fast at the beginning and even though I have listened to the message twice I can't understand what she said at the beginning. I do have AAA membership (not insurance) and if AAA cancels my membership because I wouldn't answer a call from a 3rd party it's fine with me. I'll add road service and towing coverage to my auto insurance (from a different company) instead. AAA should be able to phone me themselves at the price we have been paying for membership, $90 a year!

- JanetThis week alone I have received numerous calls from 800-527-1339 some type of insurance company. They call back to back and never leave a message. I don't answer and will be adding them to my block call list.

- RodIt's a company your auto insurance uses to update your information. You probably got something in the mail at first and didn't reply. It then escalates to phone calls and if they don't eventually get the info, your insurance carrier will cancel you.

- EmployeeI am an employee of this company. We are contracted out by numerous insurance companies to verify information from the MAIN office - a lot of local agents have no clue about this - so it is wise to answer. We try to call 2 times with no answer before leaving a message to call us back. There are times when the insured has old information still with the company, so if it doesn't pertain to you and is for someone else, please call us back so the insurance company then knows it is a bad phone number. There are MANY typos in the policies and that is what we are verifying. If you DL was entered incorrectly by your agent - guess what - it might raise your premium because the person that has that number has had numerous tickets or accidents. Some older policies still have client's SSNs as their DL numbers - violation of privacy acts and must be changed. If you don't want the phone call, send back the form mailed and we won't have to call.

- Alan replies to josephI swear I have never read a message that was as difficult to understand as yours. Have you ever gone to school? Like to 1st grade, where little children learn the basics of punctuation...
- MichelleI have received multiple calls from this number and they finally left a message today. They claim to be calling for Ameriprise. Purchased an auto policy from them however I have NO INTENTION of dealing with this company and I just emailed Ameriprise and told them this. I was a auto insurance fraud investigator for 25 years and advised them that I would not deal with a 3rd party for something such as my auto insurance. I told Ameriprise that if they needed information from me, they could call me directly, email me directly, or mail me something from their company. BTW, on the voicemail, they never bothered to say what company they were calling from. They only claimed "to be calling on behalf of Ameriprise". The woman gave me no name either. All of this combined, makes this company extremely questionable. What kind of legitimate business calls you for information but doesn't give you a company name or name of the person who is calling?
FYI: I also find the entry above from "employee" to be questionable. If a company has the wrong drivers license number and they try to run the record with your name and that number, it will not work. It will not come back with somebody else tickets and accidents. Even if it did, I would seriously question dealing with a company that didn't bother to notice that the name on that record isn't yours.- Caller: UNK
