Legitimate caller contacting me on behalf of  my Ameriprise car insurance for which there was a recent change. They wanted to verify my change.

called me leaving a message in Spanish except for my name and the word "police"

They asked for a name I didn’t recognize. I asked her to repeat it and it was a Hispanic male name. I told her there was no one here with that name.
She said ok, I’m sorry to have bothered you.Thank you and have a good day.

I got a call on my cell phone with the caller claiming to be from AAA. They left a message. They told me to call  800-527-1339 to verify policy information. I called the real number for AAA. They did NOT call me and verified that they did not have any questions for me and that my auto insurance is in good standing.

Call your agent and ask them, these are people trying to gather information to up sell you services. If your agent needs anything from you he/she will inform you of what is needed.

They called and left a message saying they were my credit card company. (Capital one) and that I now qualify for a lower interest rate. To phone back within 72 hours.

This is another insurance scam - block it - do not give a chance.

Looks like the shills are showing up to say it is not a scam and all is good.

Fraud confirmed by my only insurance company. May be another insurance company trying to get your business or worse yet trying to steal info. Ether way a very suspicious and immoral way.
