- BoonieGot a call from 800-568-0162. Some mush mouth from overseas started talking. Asked him to put on someone who could speak proper English, he hung up on me.

- Caller: GE Money Bank
- Call type: Debt collector
- Fran WorkmanDont know who they are, and really dont care. They never leave a voice mail, and I refuse to answer. This is my cell phone, and I refuse to give them the satisfaction of using up my precious minutes for garbage.

- DW VirginiaI received several calls on my caller ID from 800-568-0162. In the first place, I never answer calls from unidentified callers. After several calls from this number, I started getting calls from 800-945-2596. For the last 4 or five days my caller ID indicates 4-6 calls a day ( usually 2-3 in the morning and 2-3 in the evening ) these calls are in succession - each about an hour apart. This pattern suggests to me that these are robo calls.
It is interesting, I think, that when I used Google to search 800-568-0162 and 800-945-2596, both of these numbers were linked to GE Money Bank. Aparently GE Money Bank is a operating a collection agencey for many different firms. Given the fact that I, like many who have responded online, do not have an account with GE Money Bank, Sams Club or American Eagle. My credit is spotless, so I fully expect that this collection agency may not be trying to contact you - but rather trying to skip trace a delinquent customer who has been associated somehow with your name or telephone number.
I had similar problems about a year ago with 2 notorious collection agencies - namely NCO Financial and Mann Bracken who where attempting to locate a delinquent account. I wrote to my State Attorney General and after a two month hassle they promised that my number would be deleted from their files. The calls ceased for nine months, but now it appears they are starting all over again.
If I find out who these people really are, I'll be seeking an attorney to protect my interests. In the meantime I have turned all the ringers on my phones off and periodically check my caller ID screen during the day to see if I have any calls I wish to return. This is a slight inconvenience but at least I don't hear my phone ring 4-6 times a day from these a-- h-----.- Caller: GE Money
- Another Victim| 1 replyMy boss keeps getting phone calls from this number at ALL hours, all day, every day. He is on the Do Not Call List and that has done nothing to help. Myself and three other employees have called at least five times a piece and they say that within 30 minutes he should stop receiving calls from that number and that is a complete lie. Some serious legal action should be taken against G.E.
- Caller: G.E. Money Bank-Sam's Club
- DW Virginia replies to Another VictimWrite a letter to your state's Attorney General or Consumer Affairs Office. If they think you have a valid complaint they will investigate their nasty behavior. They will either try to resolve this matter for you or advise you how to proceed further. This way you'll have an official report (much like a police report) that you can present to your attorney or judge should you have grounds to sue them.
As you can see by my previous post, I am now having to reopen my previous case, but at least I have a file and previous documentation to support my charges. Keeping a phone log as to who called and the time and dates they call is a great tool.
The good news is if enough people do this - some heads will begin to roll. Remember, "the squeekiest wheel gets the most grease." - DW VirginiaAbout two weeks ago, I received several calls on my Caller ID from 800-568-0162. After several calls from this number, the calls ceased, but then almost immediately, I started getting calls from 800-945-6596. Now, for the last seven days, my Caller ID screen indicates an average of seven calls a day from 800-945-6596 (I usually get 2-4 calls in the morning and then 2-4in the evening). These calls come in succession (about an hour apart). This pattern suggests to me that these are very likely automated calls.
It is interesting, I think, that when I used Google to search 800-568-0162 and 800-945-6596, that both of these numbers were linked to GE Money Bank. What is more, I have a spotless credit record, so I fully expect that this collection agency may not actually be trying to contact me - but rather trying to locate a delinquent customer who has somehow become associated with my name or telephone number.
About a year ago, I had similar harassment problems from two very notorious collection agencies (NCO FINANCIAL and MANN BRACKEN, LLP). They where attempting to locate a delinquent account. They harassed me daily for several months - so I finally made a formal complaint to my State Attorney General. After a two-month hassle, I finally received assurances from my Attorney General’s office that my telephone number had been deleted from these rogue collectors’ files. These calls did cease for nine months, but now it appears they are starting all over again.
I have done a very extensive search on Google for the telephone #s 800-568-0162 and 800-945-6596. So far, I have found only two postings that link these telephone numbers to NCO FINANCIAL. However, the tactics being used by 800-945-6596 are strikingly similar to those I experienced with NCO FINANCIAL and MANN BRACKEN, LLP.
I am wondering if there is anyone else out there who might suspect or that can link NCO FINANCIAL or MANN BRACKEN, LLP to telephone number 800-945-6596?
I am not defending GE Money here, but I find it very hard to believe that they would stoop to such low life practices. They would have too much to lose if they were discovered doing this. I believe it is very likely a ruse or fraud being used by a very disreputable collection agency- Caller: NOT PROVIDED
- sandy tarpanoffthis numder has called my house many of times doesn't leave a massage
- AmyPhone Id says Sams Club Credit, but when I answered they identified themselves as GE Credit for TexacoChevron gas card. I am late with payment, but identify yourself correctly on phone ID if you don't want surly surprised replies.
- Caller: GE Credit, not Sams Club
- Call type: Debt collector
- EddieIt's actually a collection call. Sam's Club is the co-brand name for whatever bank issued the card. I've gotten the calls as well, but to my work phone. Apparently the numbers were transposed, but the point is, you can't call and deal with Sam's Club. They're just in the joint venture with the credit card company. It's the credit card company you need to speak to. The issuing bank is GE Money Bank.

- N.V. replies to CCWhat my mom did is when they called, tell them that the person that they were looking for was her ex, her phone conversation was halerious. They asked to speak to my dad and she said that the phone they called wasn't his and that he was her ex. They asked if she had a valid number for him and she said, "No, I don't think they have phone's in hell. I wouldn't talk to him if it would save my life." It was quite funny. If you are a woman and they call for you, tell them, "No, that's my ex girlfriend." and if you're a guy tell them that you're his ex boyfriend. It'll be real funny to see their reaction!
Hope this helps!
NV - bikermanThis number appears on my caller ID at least 6 times per day. They never leave a message.
I am getting tired of the continuous calls.- Caller: unknown
- Bevo replies to Mr. GI called them - they are associated with GE money bank and are associated with Sam's. They said that they will remove my number as it was dialed in error. It's worht a try!
- DRthey called at 800a, then 805a, then noon, all automated. Obviously they are above the law and dont verify phone numbers. Thank goodness I have a droid phone that has FREE number blocking software on it so I wont have to deal with them again. I have never been to a Sam's club, have perfect credit, and they are calling my cell number!
- Caller: not sure
- MeMiMeeee replies to Mr. G| 2 repliesIt's GE money bank. I was running behind on a credit card payment and this is the number that calls. Yes, they call quite a few times a day, but as soon as you pay your bill, the calls stop.
- WesternMarylandGE Money uses the callback # 18005680162 to make collections on Sam's Club Credit. Robo-calls to our private residence are continual and frequent. WE ARE NOT SAM'S CLUB MEMBERS, WE HAVE NEVER USED GE MONEY, WE DO NOT OWE ANY DEBTS, WE HAVE JUST RECENTLY ACQUIRED A LANDLINE TELEPHONE NUMBER FROM VERIZON COMMUNICATIONS AS NEW RESIDENTS IN THIS AREA, and the robo-calls need to cease and desist, stop and discontinue. If they are attempting to collect debts they should do more research by crossreferencing where their debtors are located.
