- Anonymous replies to Jean| 1 replyWell its against the law for debt collectors to call you at work once you advice them to. So the next time they call you at work tell them you r not allowed to receive those kinds of calls at work and not to call you there ever again.
- Bob replies to AnonymousSince Jean posted here 4 years ago, I think your advice is tad bit late.

- JackieThis is a debt collection agency. Someone else said they called them collecting for Kaiser hospital. In my case it was Sutter hospital, so apparently they specialize in medical debt. In my case, the debt was legitimate. I didn't realize that I had co-pays on some recent medical services that I had received. It is very common for hospitals to send debt to collection after sending only 1or 2 bills. This quick collection activity is partly the reason for new rules that recently went into effect concerning how medical debt is reported to the credit reporting agencies. 1) The collection agency must wait at least 180 days before reporting the debt to a credit reporting agency and 2) unlike other types of debt, medical debt must be removed from your credit report once you pay the debt off.

- BigAAnyone receiving calls from these crooks should most certainly not pay them until they have both proven that you owe the debt and that they have the legal right to collect. To do anything else is foolish.
My post here explains what to do, how to make the calls stop, how to report them, and how to sue them: https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-570-876-7066#p1142024693560728443 - mello38Called me two days in a row. Same message about debt collection. BLOCKED!

- lizards| 1 replyIf you have Kaiser Permanente then this is probably real and not a scam. I received the debt collector automated call from Patty asking for my name and that I needed to call them back. I called the KP billing department and they told me they put out a request to them and I followed up the issue with them. They had sent a bill to me in the mail that was returned to them because the address they used was incorrect. So instead of them calling me to say this happened they used a debt collector to follow up. Had me freaking out for a bit

- BigA replies to lizardsSo basically you did all their work for them? You did not make them follow the letter of the law and let them continue to scam people? How about all the people here who do not owe one single penny? Or are you trying to say that everyone here went to that particular hospital?
- Mayble replies to Susan999| 1 replyIt may be true for you but I got the same medical bill from a reputable company. However, I didn’t receive any medical services to be charged for so it is a scam.
- B-Edwards replies to MaybleNo, this was not true for Susan999. Susan999 was/is a Shill for the scam. See my post on page 4.
