They keep calling.  Left a message on answering machine and said "Janice, are you home." then hung up.  Called again tonight and left a message on the answering machine which "hello".

Caller representing a Sheriff's sub committee on keeping drugs and violence out of Putnam County schools, requesting a donation of $12 to aid in fighting drug and violence. The caller's # 800-609-0210 as per caller id

When I call this number back it says "You have no Credit"

Called and said they were the Tennessee Federation of Police and wanted to know if I would donate money to help with state wide essay contest to keep weapons out of schools.  Pushed very hard for me to commit to $12. When I told them to be sure and include they're tax id., they said it wasn't tax deductable and that they were at 501C8.  Told them to mail me their info. and they tried again to get me to commit to at 12 donation.

Call came in in the early afternoon of 12-08-08.  The caller said he represented a sheriff 's fund, I told him I was not in a position to give, so he said OK and terminated the call

Daily phone calls on my caller ID/ans. machine...no message for 3 wks. When I did speak with a male he said they represented "TN Police Federation", Nashville. I told them not to call on three occasions. On a later call I asked to speak with their "supervisor" (probably a man at the next desk. Informed them I would make a formal complaint if called again and mentioned that they should GOOGLE their phone number. Thanks everyone for posting your experiences....IT HELPED.

Caller ID showed 800-609-0210 and "TOLL FREE SERVICE".  I didn't answer it, and they didn't leave a voice mail message.

This number has been reported to Donotcall.gov several times and nothing has happened.  I get the feeling that they couldn't care less!

Had been getting calls from this number for weeks. Caller always hung up without saying a word.
This morning I answered and said " Hey F$%k you!", that got a response. This person said he was representing TN Law Enforcement and he said he was offended by my words. I said I was offended by getting called 40 times a week from this number. He said he was a retired TN law enforcement officer. I said "oh really? What department?" to which he replied,"that's neither here nor there". I told him I didn't believe him and he then hung up.

Got a call on Jan. 4th on Sunday evening of this year, from this number, that was the "TN Police Federation" of Nashville. He said we appreciate the donation we gave last year of $35.

We are a computer business in west Tennessee, and never thought twice that this was a scam until I read some of these comments. They really wanted us to give $50 to become a gold member this year, but I said no. I should have Google it the first time last year, but was too busy.

Tomorrow I'm calling the Nashville Police and report them of the scam, and maybe calling channel 5 news as well. The paper work that they sent has an address in Nashville:

call came this evening for donations for violence/drug crime in my area. when i told them my husband worked for the local sheriff's office, he hung up!!

I have received two calls from this number. The first time they hung up when answered so I called back.  They asked for someone who I did not know so they advised they would remove me from their calling list. Just received another call and they hung up once again when I answered.  when I tried to call back, the message says "you do not have any credit, goodbye".  
I have no idea who this is but it is harrassing and I want it to stop!

These people have been calling me for years. Sometimes they identify themselves as the Fraternal Order of Police, sometimes TN Police Federation. The person who calls me is always the same guy. He won't take no for an answer and says he'll put me down for a $25 donation even though I say I'm not donating anything. He gets really nasty when I tell him I'm not donating "period", and to take me off the list, which he refuses to do. I made the mistake of donating several years ago when I got the first call, thinking it was a good cause, but the next year I couldn't afford to donate and he got ugly with me and has been just as nasty ever since. This last time I told him HE personally is the reason I will no longer donate to this organization. The way this guy treats the people he calls is causing the organization to lose money. They need to get rid of this guy!

I got a call from 1-800-609-0210 the man was asking for a donation for the police force to combat drugs and other things at the schools

Incoming call from 1-800-609-0210 around 8:30am today. I was on another call and was unable to answer it. No message left. Called the number and got the same recording as someone else above, "You have no credit, good bye." Sometimes I forward my landline home calls to my cell phone. I have added this number to my address book as "DNA";DO NOT ANSWER. I also have DNA for 506-221-4560, IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT YOUR CREDIT CARD.
