Scammer/Telemarketer/Thief/Crook/Liar/Fraudster/Con (wo)man (from card services) still touting the ancient lower your credit card interest rate scam. CID showed "TOLL FREE CALL" and "1-800-669-8488". Number is spoofed, it's a legitimate Sears Credit Card Services number.

This is a scam, they call you and then ask you for your credit card information.

Because our government does NOT want to be the one who tells the phone companies to screen / eliminate this kind of illegal activity. Doing so would cut into phone company revenues. And...in the process, that government official would be "outed", look bad, and not be re-elected.  Welcome to the element of society that is considered prey..........

A big Thank You (sarcasm) to the phone companies who continue to deny us a "white list" ability. To heck with the "black list"...spoofed numbers always stay ahead of that. Too much money yet to be made by phone companies that look the other way when these tele-robbers attempt to separate us from our money.

The woman on the phone Said  "in order for us to properly identify you we need your phone number or social security number" there's no way I'm giving them my SS number. Complete scam.

It is the number for Sears Mastercard because I saw it on their webpage. I'm still not interested. And asking for all that personal info is inappropriate.

Today   June 19, 2017, I received a phone call from this phone number, it was  a lady stating she was from Sears trying to collect on an old account of mine.  Definitely a scam do not provide information to these people.

Got call; didn't pick up.

Don't forget these scammer can spoof real numbers. That's why what you did is a good way to confirm if Sears were or we're not calling you.

Because like any other crime. Just because it's illegal doesn't stop criminals from doing it. Problem is with these calls it so easy to do.

call to phone from  800-669-8488 caller ID said "TOLL FREE" on Friday 06-23-17 at 108 PM

got SCAM call from this number did not answer the call.

Received two calls this morning from this number. The first call was before 7:00am and then another one hour later. Time to report this number to FTC. These people broke the Fair Credit Reporting laws that prevent them from calling during certain hours. Blocked this number.

1800-669-8488  this is a scammer for credit card information and they threaten you with a prerecorded call first ansd warn you that your card will pay hier interest if you dont speak with them at pressing option 1 or 2  its disgusting that the FTC doesn't do crap about it- io hope all scammers go to jail
