- Been there replies to RActually you're wrong. Your spouse will be responsible for the debt. I know because my ex charged tons of stuff and they garnished MY wages because I was the one working. Someone always gets stuck if you don't pay. It's like shop lifters who steal and then the stores have to spend more to stop others from shoplifting and then have to raise prices to cover those costs. I've never understood how anyone can steal which is what you're doing if you charged things and are now NOT paying. And how in the world could they raise your interest if you were never late on a payment. You had to have done something for them to raise your interest.
- Lynnto all recipients out there receiving this kind of calls..
I have been receiving this kind of calls over the years trying to collect something that has already been covered almost ten years ago. The amount in question was $500.00 in which originally, the root of the matter was a mistake done by a car dealer and in the end, it was settled amicably. This of course was reported to the IRS, meaning, losses on the car dealer and credit on our part. This issue has long been settled, covered, by the car dealer, me and the IRS. Well, four years later, we started receiving this collection call but I ignored because, I don't owe anyone. For your information, this collection agencies are NOT the original credit agencies you owe the money from. These are companies (many of them) purchased, bought out the collectible money in wholesale, and this is legal.. They make money out of this scam because they threaten the clients etc. They have been trying to collect from me for the past several years for $500.00 and the fact that the issue has already been settled, but the point is, "no little amount" should be spared because they believe these are collectible. Just ignore the call and if the call is important they will leave a message. Most of the time, they don't leave any message. They will try their best to collect. The bottom line is, they CAN COLLECT these money (no matter how little). Better yet, don't call back..800#s are unknown and so don't worry about it. Up to date, they still call me, at least 3 times a month. If you plan of responding back to them, google this 800 number or any unknown number, at least this will give you the idea or nature of the call.- Caller: 800-684-4340

- Phoebe replies to Jax| 7 repliesI get calls from them every day. I had had an account with them years ago where i bought one item, didn't care for the service, paid for the item as soon as i got the bill form them, then cancelled the account. When I finally got a person talking to me they said that last December I bought something and I owe them 21.50. I told them I don't have an account with them anymore and did not buy anything in December even if I did because I was unemployed and not buying anything. I couldn't afford to. I even sent an email to them but they still keep calling.
It's an autobot calling, then you press numbers to get connected to a person. funny, if I supposedly bought something LAST YEAR and didn't pay, why are they calling me NOW a year later??? It's a scam, trying to get you to give them money. I bet if I did give them $21 to shut them up, they'd still call. - JESSICA CARMODYthey have been calling me for along time now half a year almost and when we called them to work something out they said that i owe them money for 2007 i didnt even know about paypal bill me later or any of that stuff and if i were to ever to know some one would have to teach me a thouansd times on how to even use the dam thing im not laptop smart like with my spell i stay with the word i know how to spell and there not big words as u can tell and i had to change my phone number for other reason and i thought oh well now that i had to change my number because of a problem with and ex friend i thought oh now they will stop all the harassing phone calls voicemail and yes i would get calls and voice mail and it is an every night thing and send wierd letters in the mail

- AshleyI use Bill Me Later Often, i pay all of my bills 2 weeks in advance, lately i've been getting nonstop cals from them stating my bill is do a month later!!! I keep telling them i never needed them to remind me before i don't need them to start reminding me.. when i FINALLY got someone on the line i had them review my account.. and specifically asked "Have i EVER been late before?" they responded (the way i knew they would) with "No M'am, from what i can see here you have never been late ona payment" so when i asked "why the heck do you keep calling me then" there response was "to make sure that you don't start becoming late" WTF??!!!

- Charli replies to JZ| 1 replyThey are asking you to pay as you said you would. Companies don't stay in business if they aren't paid. You expect your employer to pay you don't you?
They will continue to rack up late fees until you pay them and if you don't they will take you to court which costs you more money.
If you have a good reason not to pay them just tell and they will probably work with you.
That $84 will grow into several hundred soon. - Charli replies to Roxanne TaplettCould be that someone used your info and created an account. Might want to check.
- Charli replies to 4Q2Not these days. You can lose a job because of bad credit. Or pay increased insurance for your home and car because of bad credit.
- Charli replies to whatascamPlaces like that shouldn't exist and I hope they get sued. I bet they're a great resource for criminals and juveniles.
- Charli replies to TinaWrite them and tell them so.
- Charli replies to NancyJo IlminenYou need to contact them. This is simply a site that people can post info about a number not the people who own the number.
- Charli replies to ajaLet bill me later know about the lack of messages and inept calls. They have an excellent support system.
- LeroyI gave bill me later my Google.voice number, so I.don't have.to listen to their nonstop phone calls.

- HopeCalled a recently deceased co-worker's number. Pressed 4 to say the person doesn't live here (since it is a business). It connected me to a nice agent who explained it was an auto-dialer that calls out and he was able to remove the name from other accounts that would be using their company to call. It sounds as if it is a collection agency.
