I just received a message that was very hard to hear but when it came to my name there was no name mentioned and they said that I had a case filed against me and that I would have criminal charges filed against me. I couldnt even hear the name of their company.

Not sure if I should contact them back or not, but after reading the above messages I am  leaning towards not contacting them.

I got a call from this number and there was NO NAME mentioned only blank space whenever a name was to be inserted.  PLEASE everyone remember to let your kids and elderly folks know to NEVER give out their information over the phone. ESPECIALLY, social security number.  

These folks stated that I was in a lawsuit and facing criminal charges if I didn't clear up this social security number fraud immediately. They even gave me a number to call back on.  I have a relatively new cell number so I was suspicious from the start.

Yes, someone had called and left a voice message on my work number.  Also, whoever this person calling voice was very faded and low.  The person called and stated that an law suit is being brought against your social security number and the lady stated to call back at this number 800-691-8323.

I also got the same cal as above stated by everyone. I had spoke to someone previously who stated this was a check collection and when i asked him to send my attorney the proof he got irrate and started asking me my attorneys name and location. Then he was trying to make me call my exhusband and ask for the money and then said he would call him. He never would agree to email or mail the proof. and was asking for over $800 dollars. I refused and he got very ill with me and threatened me. Very leary about him I sought advice from my disability attorney who told me NOT to release anything without him reviewing it first in writing...if they had this information forwarded to them to collect, they should be able to show the proof.

This is a total scam. I spoke to this Ms Tony and blasted her over the phone I knew it was scam. Because I paid this payday loan over two years ago and have the copy of the paid receipt in my office. These people are the lowest of the low. They try and inflict fear into you and then they try and get you to pay the amount they are requesting. Once they get your bank or credit card ino it's all over.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANYTHING OVER THE PHONE. IF THEY ARE A LEGIMATE COLLECTION AGENCY THEY WILL MAIL TO YOUR HOME

received a call from this number wih the exact message on my voicemail and the left this call back number with the name of the company GFS. This has got to be a scam b/c they would show me proof before just calling me out of the blue.

Got a similar call 2 years ago - actually fell for it and paid the money - BIG mistake. Called BBB and FTC to complain. BBB told me to file a complaint and do a charge back from their bank account to mine to retrieve the money - my bank did and I got my money back.

I got a phone call from 18006918323 from a women asking for my brother in reference to me with an extension number 406. The name of the Company is Green Tree Financial Services. or GFS when I called the number back. I look up under search engine on my computer and there is no information on this company. I think its a scam. Don't give them any information.

I recieved a call but no message on a work cell phone.  After what is written here, i see that the same number say they are RTE credit union, Green Tree financial, and  Granger Financial.  It seems like this must be a scam.  I have had these types of calls in the past and the attorney general infomed me to always request documentation of debt in the mail.  If they will not provide it or continue to threaten then they are most likely are scams.

Got the same pre-recorded call. Did some deeper checking because I can. Discovered it is a debt collection agency picking up on the bottom-feed/ old debt. They are not using the name or location for the alleged debt to contact you. But, they are using the phone numbers that were put on original loan applications. Discovered this because one of my old employee's relative applied for multiple Quick Cash Loans and defaulted, but used by office number as the point of contact. Do not release anything to them or call them back - PERIOD -

I had some one call my work and said his name was Tony from Greentree.

They called saying someone got my Social Security Number and I should call them immediately.

SCAM...  i did not call

received automatic call from 800-691-8323 saying a charge was being filed in reference to my SS#. Called back and got answering machine. Informed them I my number is on the national do not call list and I was filing a complaint with the national do not call people about them using an automated system to call me and for calling me in spite of being on the list.

MR ROBERT LOVE keeps calling me and threatening me about a gree tree loan that i tool out and defaulted on. Ive explained its being paid through another co. that bought the loan but he will not listen. He has spoken with them and still wont listen.Just keeps threatening me. Im refusing to talk to him anymore as that what i was informed to do..

This group may be associated with Pamela Matthews, a former employee of Han Thai. They called looking for the same relative that CMAG harassed me about a few months back, but they are much more careful. They will try to fish for information - just tell them that the person they are looking for is not available at this phone number. If you are the person that they are calling about, ask them to send a letter. By law, this is what they are supposed to do anyways.

The reason I know it's a scam - Ms. Carol Way/Williams (indiscernible) admitted that she knew she was calling the relative of an alleged debtor. She identified herself on the message as a claims coordinator (see how careful they try to be?) on the message. However, the message was left as if they were calling the alleged debtor's personal phone. When I called back and asked to be put on the do not call list the they had the wrong number, she acted like she would immediately comply. Then she started asking if I knew the person, if I was a relative and if I could forward the message. I told her I had no way of forwarding her message (because I dont - that relative could be dead for all I know). So which one is it? This is nothing more than a high pressure tactic meant to embarrass their marks.

Ms. Way/William messed up when she admitted that I was listed as a relative. For one, my relative doesn't even have this number. Number two, I never identified myself. So how did she now exactly who she was talking too? My number is unlisted, so they did more than skiptracing. I'm going to have a lot of fun after I request a hard copy on my credit report. I bet they left their filthy tracks all over it.

they call me twice and said the same thing to me also, i call it back and a guy answer and i said u have the wrong number and this is not right, he said what is the number i said i am not giving u anything. and hung up.. so many scams out there.. i wish they would just stop all these calls and put a end to them.. its really out of control.. ikes.... i dont owe anyone anything.. esp not to gfs ..

They left a message on my voice mail for a friend of mine. Recorded. They garbled the name a bit but I knew who they meant. I asked about it, and my friend is debt-free. I googled the phone number and got
