I as well got this call today, it also says the same as all of you have stated. Here is what I did though. I went to the payphone at the local 7/11 store can called. When I called I gave them a "fake" social security number and they told me that they were a "debt collection" company trying to secure funds. Remember folks, you will not go to jail over debt. The wording from the voicemail is made to scare you and that's exactly what it does to us all. None the less it's for debt.
Those idiots make big money on commission collecting so they use scare tactics.
Don't call them don't worry.
They say fraudulent use of your SS# that's BS if you owe money and don't pay oh well the only thing that happens is that you mess up your credit.

Received a call today from this company saying that an affidavit of complaint had been filed against my social security number for fraudulent activity. Where it was supposed to state a name on the message there was only silence...luckily I remembered that my brother's ex gf had gotten a similar message, on my voicemail (even though she's never even been to my house) not that long ago. I Googled the number and sure enough I am not the only one that has had this problem. Can these people not be stopped?

I got the exact same call today saying the exact same thing.  SMH!

Yeah I'm sure there's a judge just waiting for people to call

I received a call today, 8/8/12 at 240pm, from a phone number 1-877-206-8031, with the same message, a recording telling me about my SS# for fraudulent activity.  It gave me the number to call 1-800-691-8323.  I called the number, there was no answer and told me to leave a message for GFS.  I did not leave a message, but I called the number back on my caller ID, the 1-877-206-8031, nobody was answering the phone and the recording was saying to leave a message for MRS. WORD.  Who are these people??

exact same message as...no dummy here's ....comments...on my recorder,
Ignore this type of contact.   You should be notified in the writing of any such fraudlent action and be sure to check that out also.
