Number came in as unknown. A recording left a voicemail not indentifying who they were and that I should call this number back

Sure signs of a scam-do not call back *67 does not work on toll free numbers like 800.

I received a call from the same phone # on 9/10 at 1:19 pm  saying they were calling from ? Capitol Bank. Could not understand the first name of the Bank.. I have no idea who this is. I do not like calling #'s that come up as unknown. My Dr's # will show up as unknown..  It can be confusing..

I received a call from an unknown number which I didn't answer. Left a message so I checked it out. Some lady, who talked very fast, from some kind of bank. What I could understand was con...it or Kennedy national bank (?) left an 800-695-2780 number. I agree I do not like calls from an unknown number. Do not trust this 800 number.

This number, the name is COMMENITY BANK, but I do believe it is not associated with my cards, which are from Commenity Bank. "Please call / matter of personal importance"

I called the number back after getting an "matter of personal importance" message.  An man answered confirming it was from Commenity Bank.  Said it was a store card for Ultimate rewards.  Wanted me to confirm my phone number and address.  I confirmed the phone number, but not the address.  He couldn't tell me for what store it was from.  He said there was a small balance on it.  I asked him to send me a letter to the address he had on file.  He said he couldn't do that.  Only the fraud department could.  So I asked to be transferred there.  It went back into a menu where choose one was home goods, choose two was JCrew.  etc.  I hung up

"He said he couldn't do that. "  They send monthly statements out all the time. He couldn't identify which card he was talking about?  Hogwash, that wouldn't violate any law.  They are not bound by the FDCPA since they are the original creditor, but they are known for harassment and for calling the wrong people.

Received a missed call from an Unknown/blocked number. Automated message left on my voicemail saying they were calling from a bank (Comenity Capital Bank?) and needed me to return the call as it was a matter of personal importance. Reeks of a scam.

Called. Left a message from "capital bank" or something. Couldn't understand her. Didn't answer or call back because it showed up as unavailable. Voicemail said "caller withheld their identity". If they don't want me to know who they are then I don't need to talk to them. Why would a business with "an important matter" not show who they are?

Received a vm from this # asking for a call back - I didn't call it back as I get unknown callers all the time - I figure if it were legit the caller would have 1. Asked for me by name 2. Left more specific, detailed reason for the call - never confirm your identity for any transaction that you didn't initiate

received several calls from this number "unknown or restricted", I will not answer numbers that don't show who they are.  Left a message but did not address me by name so sounds iffy.  Didn't call back.

Kennedy Capital bank I would say collection department

Its a collection call but the way their message sounds it seems like spam.

Rec call and wants me to call back I hung up. Who is this?

Community Bank maybe?

Yes, Commenity Bank is the what was said on the message and I do have two accounts with this bank co. My Victoria Secret and my American Eagle outfitters card but BOTH of these accounts have ALWAYS been in good standing. So I will NOT be waisting my time answering or responging to these calls. First they called using many diff ph #s and then after I blocked all of those they started to call with unknown number. No way to block unknowns. -__-

I received 2 calls from an unknown  number.  The message said  it was commenity bank and left this number to call. My account with that bank is in good standing..  I think it is a scam and won't be calling them back .

800 695 2780 is a valid number to Comenity Bank which backs over 100 credit cards..mainly store credit cards. I called Comentity back but used the phone number listed on their Facebook page 800 303 1368. They said the previous number is an auto dialer. I had them check my accounts and nothing is wrong. And I didn't give out much info, I had them tell me. They had all my info correct so they were Comenity Bank. BUT, still blocking the number because their stupid auto dialer called for no reason!

it's not Community Bank.  the person on the message calls it Comenity and when I called the number for community back I was told that is not one of their numbers
