- BETTY JOECALLER SAID HE WAS A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR AND WANTED INFORMATION ABOUT MY FINANCES
- jfkbrit@gmail.com| 9 repliesThese guys called my Miami office saying they were sending a gumshoe called Marc Barnes from Commercial Assets Investigation, obviously trying the "heavy". I basically said we had no liability in the matter in contention and suggested to their staff member that they should check the legaklity of their claim, I told them to stop pretending they are a Law Firm, lawywers are disgusting but debt collectors are lower than hyenas, true bottom feeders!

- berkshire replies to jfkbrit@gmail.com| 3 repliesJust had the same call.
- rr replies to berkshire| 2 repliesYah, these guys are pretty good... If you need money collected, call them. Basically debt collectors who act like attornies.
- Charlie - Connecticut replies to Tracy| 5 repliesI just got the same call. If they are really trying to collect a debt, then they should point that out directly. This heavy handed private investigator thing has made me very suspicious and immediately puts me on the defensive. Now, I'm angry at whomever is looking to collect the debt (if there is one), and the debt collector. Much more likely to fight this rather than roll over and pay up.
- Ms. Jane Q. PublicA message was left on our business phone during Christmas stating he was a detective assigned to our "case" by the firm Greenburg and Richards and that he will be at our office on the following Monday at which time he wants to see all of our financial records, he will be talking to vendors and businesses in our area and wants to talk to our employees. We had no prior information from this "firm" about any case. My employee whose husband just lost his job is the one who received the message. I have a heart problem. Isn't there a way to stop these people from behaving in this manner?

- bill walsh replies to Charlie - Connecticut| 3 repliesi just got the same call. as far as I know we have no debts.
here's the #s the "investigator" gave me: Greenburg etc, Jacob Kruzer, 800-713-4565.
The investigator was Damien Robinson 800-474-7751.
he didnt ask for 4, wants to do an "investigation." - JasminSo i get a call from a number like this, 1-800-713-4569. It wasn't the same but almost but the same thing happened. He informed me that he was sending over a "private investagator" this week and that it was about a billing situation. Even game me the name of who it was about, "Vince Cruz" we've never had a guest by that name. I call the number that he gave me and it says that all the reps are attending a customer so i leave a message. I've left 5 messages and i've gotten NO answer. I want to know who it is. I also got another number from him, he said the first number was from the man and the second number was from his company, Commercial Asset Investagation. It was 1-800-7751 and he said i could call anytime if i had questions. Well, i have questions....i called both numbers. NOTHING. I get one that the "reps" are busy and the other number they said have changed their number and i have to call 1015158000, an international numbeR? HECK no! Beware out there, i'll post an update tomorrow.
- ShanaI was left a very long message from a gentleman who said he was retained by this company he was requesting to visit our location asking for all financial records and to obtain pictures of our equipment. I called the gentleman from Greenberg, Grant & Richards when I gave him my case# he said there is no case numbers that he could pull up to verify my information. I told him that i would not give him my information that I had a case number and he should be able to pull up information based on that case number and in turn i would verify the information he had on file. I asked him what type of business I was dealing with whether he was an attorney or a debt collector. He hung up in my ear. When i called back the secretary passed me to his voice mail. Dont fall for this scheme, any debt collector has to notify you in writing regarding a debt. I am going to contact the Attorney General Office to warn them about this company.

- The Soundwave, INC| 3 repliesAll I kow is recieved the same call and the guys are serious about what they do. I just came from court and all my assets where siezed until I paid this debt. So if you do get this call. The guys are no JOKE. Just safe to say that this Damian Robinson guy warned me to work with them but i did not listen. He was a nice guy though.
- The Chased| 9 repliesMy personal opinion, these guys are doing a much needed service. There are many business out there that are abusing these loose bankruptcy laws. You know, the laws that let that one client file bankruptcy and screw you out of money....the one you just approved a $50,000 credit extension to a week ago and now his line is disconnected and you can't seem to get your attorney demand letter out to his PO BOX. Although it's unpleasant receiving these calls.....think about the reason behind the call. Would you rather have some nice push-over trying to collect money on your behalf (to SAVE your company from going BK7 or BK11) or do you want that hammer who will ensure payment as well as a timely delivery. Everyone knows that when you are in a money crunch you only pay what you MUST.....by painting a picture of urgency you receive money faster and the debtor knocks out one of their reasons to jump off a bridge. I used to work for a few firms (this not being one lol) and I know for a fact that more than 80% of my 250+ clients did not know how to properly manage their recievables (majority being C-Level personel) and I spent most of my time educating and re-educating clients over things most children should know. I am a financial analyst by trade and the worst thing you can do right now is have your debtors dictate payment to you. The best thing you can do for yourself is try picking up a collection firm and see if it works for you DONT BE AFRAID TO GET PAID...these debtors are not going to play golf with you after they go out of business so screw saving long-term relationships....collections is a job that is similair to cleaning the toilets.....it may not be pretty, it may in fact be the shittiest job ever....but someone has to do it and if it were you doing it....you wouldn't want someone else talking [***] about how you make a living. They are just the front-line soldiers doing what so many can't...not everyone has a back-bone....that's why it's great to get one on a contingency basis.
- Jeremy VopangaJust had a voicemail from a so called "Mark Barnes" on behalf of "Vincent Cruz" saying that we were under asset and liability investigation. He sounded heavy handed, intimidating and he sounded like it was a legal matter and matter of urgency. This is a complete con and all his information about us was not even correct. So happy that I googled the phone number and Greenberg, Grant and Richards to find out that they have tried to scam other people. Ignore all information and calls from this number or these people. It is disgusting that they get away with this, we will be reporting them.
- OOB1108 replies to bill walsh| 2 repliesI got the same call here in NY. Same Damien, 800.713.4565. Gave me a deadline for when he will show to photo my equipment, vehicles and then look over my supplier list. HuM JOb. If this guy even looked in the right place i.e. that business has moved and was closed a year ago and I personally live in a residential area at which he cannot gain access to my home for any of his list of things todo. Empty Buckets Make The Most Noise! Good Luck All.

- paula replies to Charlie - Connecticutgot the same call today this is stupid.
They can investigate me all they want. - BudGreen replies to jfkbrit@gmail.com| 2 repliesYeah collection agencies are "bottom feeders"...Maybe if you paid your bills you wouldn't think that...I take it you are one of the many reasons our economy is in the crapper!! Here's a thought...don't buy stuff you can't afford and then get mad for being sent to collections when you; wait for the shocking part.......HAVE TO PAY FOR IT!!!
