This is not about collecting valid debt - its never about the debt itself

ITS ABOUT COLLECTION AGENCIES THAT VIOLATE STATE AND FEDERAL LAWS!

Collectors that post here ( and I believe you yourself are one - based on your posting)  are not collecting valid legally owed debt.  They are attempting to ILLEGAL EXTORT money from those who do not owe it for various reasons.

They cannot PROVE that any debt they are trying collect is legitimate, that is why they BREAK LAWS.

I work for a company that does try to pay their bills on a timely matter. But, when you do business with Companies and Homeowners that don't pay as they promise then you are subject to cover the debt. Its not right for this Mr. Robinson to call and say he is an Investigator working for XYZ company. If it is a debt, he is responsible for saying so. There is a little phrase that they are suppose to say while talking to you. Something like "This is an attempt to collect a debt. We are mandated by Federal Law in doing so." He failed to mention that to me. Like I said before we do try to pay all of our bills as quickly as we can. We could do like most and write a bad check BUT we don't do things like that. So if they are reading this, they need to get off the backs of people who DO try to cover their debts while others don't bother to cough up what they owe to us.

I am an attorney, and Marc (Mark?) Barnes just called my clients asking for confidential financial information under the guise of representing a company that wanted to invest in or buy my client's company.  He said he works for a George McKenzie at Greenberg, Grant & Richards in Houston, Texes.  This is interstate fraud, which should be reported to the Texas AG.  I

GGR and Mark Barnes are SHADY replies to Mrs. Fronshea
GGR are a shady company trying to use shady tactics and stupid tricks to try to scare people, so don't act like they are doing a public service, if they were legit they wouldn't try to trick people. I am filing my complaint today and I can't wait till the FCC cracks down on them.......... I suggest everyone who reads this to do the same.

Are you related or do you know a person from GGR?....... Mrs Fonshea, you obviously work for or are related to GGR somehow. Give me your home phone number and I will call you all the time with BS threats and lies and tricks and break the law and then you can put a postitve spin on it.......These scumbag "collectors" or "bullies" probably have a worse credit score than most of the debtors. So save your soapbox comments.

They lying but if you are suit worthy watch your ass. They will sue for the money. I worked there for a year Damien and Mark are decoys lying cigarette smoking sacks of  [***]!, but GGR does send the real private eyes out there unannounced and take pictures of your spot whilst pulling all of your public records. They then make vendor calls and fiddle with your business. If you can pay them  PAY THEM if you can't then you might be f@cked because those guys are evil hearted at times.

I received a phone call from an UNKNOWN number on my cell phone.  The "debt collector" asked for a Tim Mayfield who apparently owes someone a vast sum of about $6000, and I quickly prompted that I was not the one he was looking for.  He retorted with "Quit with the damn games Mr. Mayfield and stop lying about your identity."  In utter shock, I then again tried to tell this completely rude "professional" I was not who he was looking for.  He says "Uh huh, sure.  Good luck to you pal, you're gonna need it."  I've received numerous calls since then, until I finally answered the phone and demanded I have his information before we conducted any kind of business.  He supplied me with a number (713-789-5893 which lead me to this company GGR) and a name (Tony Rodriguez).  At this point, I don't feel blocking the number will do any justice. I feel completely violated that I'm being called a liar and in no way will this guy listen to reason.  What do I do?  And do you think I should get an attorney involved?

This gum shoe sent an investigator to our business today, the investigator was knocking our front door at 12:20 pm lunch time, so I realized it was not a normal customer, so I went to the defensive, and meet him outside..I didn't let him to come in, and told him to go to hell that we have nothing to talk to them...!
People, debt collectors are just that, they can hire a private investigator to handle papers to you, but please do not let them into your office, they have not legal rights to look at your files...!!...and Patrick Lemberg I am still laughing at you..!!!...good try idiot..!!

Legally speaking, they can not garnish or freeze any accounts, they are not attorneys and they need to sue you first. They pay $50 bucks to local investigators as a scare tactic, to go to your business..as I said, they don't have any rights.

There is a free government website www.donotcall.gov there you can list all your phone numbers- they will send you an email with a link to complete the request- this needs to be done within 72 hrs. There is a link to file a complaint as well. Keep in mind that there are people "out there" who are going to attempt to get a rise out of others- try to overlook them. Please pass this info on to friends & family- Good Luck!

Well if they are not able to do it, LEGALLY. Why did my creditors forclose on my accounts and my bank deny my loan I had in place? This is some BS I am writing my congressman a letter about this. Something really needs to be done they have all my info? When I called the Woman whose name appeared as the contact (Paige Phillips) she provided me with everything the investgator had done, Pictures of my place, Bank info, Vendors info, and Personal Information and even my vehicles? I am speaking with an Attorney but I can barely afford that!!!
