- Q| 1 replyCaller said he was from ADT and asked for my passcode and some other info. Told him no alarm went off and I didn’t provide any info. Definitely some type of phishing scam.

- JudySomeone just called from this number and said I needed new equipment and wanted to go over my account with me. I told him I would call ADT direct. He was very polite but I'm not giving information out to someone I didn't contact

- Call type: Scam suspicion
- KathyI also received an email requesting me to call and setup an appointment for some service work to be done.
- DeanReceived a call/voicemail stating that I needed to schedule an appointment for service work that needed to be done. Has to be a scam because ADT technician was here about three weeks ago replacing carbon monoxide alarm, and if any extra work needed to be done, he would have done it then.

- Sheila R.| 1 replyReceived 2 phone calls from this # saying my ADT needs updating and I needed to schedule an appointment for service work that needed to be done. I don't pick up 800 calls as a rule so they are recorded voicemails and I ignore them.

- James| 4 repliesReceived a voice mail message from the number saying that ADT needed to replace the cellular transmitter in my system due to some recent upgrades with the cellular network in my community. The message said that a technician would need to come into my home and complete this work at no charge to me. I called 800-724-7565 back and was on hold to speak with one of their service agents. While on hold, the music wasn't what I was used to hearing when calling ADT, and the on hold messages about "being near my alarm panel," "ensuring that my wifi was working and my gateway has been rebooted," and "be prepared to give your verbal password to our agent," etc. It just felt very odd. I hung up and called the ADT number on my alarm keypad. ADT confirmed that this was NOT them and I should never entertain any calls to upgrade my equipment by anyone claiming to be ADT. They will ALWAYS have their customers call their main number and for important system upgrades they will send a letter in the mail. The agent says a lot of scammers are trying to access people's systems and reprogram the alarm panel and claim that is a 3G cellular backup upgrade. Beware!

- CTex2020 replies to Sheila R.Received voicemail from person saying was ADT rep, asking to return call to schedule service because of communication company changes. Unusual and suspicious call from security provider. Not ADT usual phone number.
- Sadie RReceived email regarding communication needed to be updated at no cost and I needed to call ADT as soon as possible. I checked it out and I’m glad I did. Scam! It’s not the usual ADT phone number
- EB2 replies to JamesThanks, James! I got the same call yesterday, with caller ID showing "Out of area" not ADT. I was going to call the main number today, but you saved me the trouble.

- Keith| 1 replyI got the same message about the cellular upgrade from this number. After hanging up, I checked my ADT app and sure enough it's was scheduled with the company name and tech ID#. I think it is an authorized technician from an authorized company. The caller never asked for any personal or Acct info only verified address. It is legit. I also verified with ADTs main number. According to ADT, the company is used to outsource service calls and upgrades. The ADT rep also confirmed my scheduled appointment.
