A woman named Jennifer, called our law office and said she represents an Aerospace System Company. She needs to find a law firm to handle Estate Planning, Trusts or Wills for all her Executives and Engineers. The attorney asked me to check the number out, 800 - 727 - 3757 x 119 (Jennifer).
Thanks God for this site so I don't waste anymore time.  SCAM!

OMG! They called me about a massage therapist in Louisiana, good thing I thought about it before and talked it over with my friend. It raised a red flag when I told him I had to call him back with, the money situation.

I'm a small business owner who got an email from these folks. You are all ridiculous and have made the wrong assumptions.  Perkscard.com is a legitimate business.  Check out their website.  They work with companies to offer their employees discounts for area businesses.  It's a free "perk" to the employees.  Perkscard.com contacts small businesses in the area and asks them if they want to be part of the employee discount program.  It's just like paying for any other advertising.  You pay for the advertising and they place you on the companies' perkscard.com web page which employees need a login ID and password for to see the discounts offered for their company's employees. It's no different than if you bought advertising for ad placement in a local magazine or yellow pages.  I didn't want to do it, but it is a legitimate business.

Hey, I feel really put off about this thread!  I got a call from Mary @ x123. I was offered Mass Eye & Ear Hospital with 2200 employees and exclusive CFP to provide financial planning.  But I wasn't offered $995 or two payments.  It was $1295 + the $200 optional services for the printable coupon and links to the website.  How come I wasn't offered the fabulous terms others have been offered?  Nice person.  Nice script.  Very enticing but I was suspicious when there wasn't any real due diligence needed to screen and find the "best" provider.  And the mention of the fee was very far into the call.

Got a message (couldn't get to phone, it's been busy today!!) from a Rainee? calling as a rep for Rousch Racing in Livonia. He claimed to have several residential customer's in need of heating and cooling work. Will not be calling him back as we receive calls similar to this all the time - "If I could give you 500 new customers, would you be able to handle that?", "How would you like to have as much business as you want?", "Would you like to drive a really nice car to work?" Blah, blah, blah.

I'm looking to find a mortgage company that some of the employees that are looking to purchase their own personal homes could work with. I was asked to call back Emily at ext 136 as they needed full-service entertainment planners for Doctors' Hospital's employees.

Valarie said she works with HR for medical groups including doctors nurses relocating to my area (Chicago) and needs a Realtor. The number she left was (800)727-3757 x161 - Glad I found your site!!  SCAM

Wow.  We almost fell for this too - referencing benefits for all City of Seattle employees.  How do they continue to get away with it?  Seriously.

I got the phone call from Gloria Moline saying the same thing like above, and she also email me the contract which I have to pay the $2500 to get the service, I smell the fish right away, she has been called me many times to pushing to sign and return her ASAP, because the hospital employees could not wait for to get the service from me. SCAM!!! Thanks for  this web and the people who post here

sal is the owner of this scam. The only truth about this company is they have highly effective sales man and woman. They make you feel like your getting into the right thing until you check it out Dr, Repair shop they would like you to be one of them. I was called by some guy named Abe Delgado. Smoot talker but talk is cheap. I asked for info from other business and was told I dont know how a company from RI can help you make you decide if this will work for your copmany. The reason they say that is because 99.9% of customers who sign up the year before they get no renewals. None at all. Don't get fooled by this scame of the year and has been for many years before. They WILL NOT be doing any business with you unless YOU PAY THEM!
....   there you've just had a psychic reading! ;)

Personally I'm not one to pay for advertising, so thanks but no thanks.
But seriously?  "VAEA", what is that?  There is zero online presence for 'vaea' in California.

P.S. read the bottom of the email - it specifically states that it is an advertisement!!!!

I just received a message from this number 1-800-727-3757 x157 from Jason working for Suny Schools looking for a photographer for their events.  Since it was a 800number I decided to google it and got this.  I'm glad I checked!

Same story from Abe Delgado except for me it was the VA in North Florida looking for CFPs.  Requested a commitment to a discount -- "other financial planners have committed to..."

@anonymous -- I am sure that they are a legitimate marketing business in the State of NY (they actually have 9 "resolved" complaint at the NY BBB and are not accredited: http://bit.ly/rKHAxi); the only problem these posters are having is that the caller is a bit duplicitous in representing themselves as an agent of a hospital, a company, etc. trying to help out local businesses with free marketing.  There's no mention of costs, contracts, etc.  When I have a preferred vendor in the area -- whether it be a restaurant, a painter, or a banker -- I don't make them pay me or commit to a contract when I tell my client, "oh you have to check out XYZ Restaurant" or "wow, the bankers are ABC Bank are really customer service driven."

Obviously, companies have to make money.  We're all in the business and respect that, we just want to know what the COST and value proposition is up front.

I hear a sucking sound and it's circling the drain.  How can anyone believe anything that these people say?  The telemarketer wouldn't take no for an answer.  Finally, hung up on this pesky caller

I got the same email from John Schnef and I spoke with him. He did not ask for money yet, but if he asks for some kind of up front payment to be a part of "PerksCard" I am not going for it. He told me he was representing Henrico Doctors Hospital and the Richmond Sheriffs Office.
