- AmyI also recieved a call today. The women said she worked for the va association. She went on and on asking questions about my services and made it sound like a really good deal. After a long time speaking with her she blurted out something about a 199 fee. As I am a small company, I do not have these kind of funds and said that I was not interested. She then began to say that she would be calling other companys in my area who offer the same services and if I didnt sign up now that I could miss out. I decided to check out the internet and see if this was a legit business. After hearing everyone elses responces I am so glad that I didnt give her any payment/ or payment information.
I cant believe that they are getting away with this.- Caller: perksconnect

- MAS replies to Collette HortonDid you reach out to Safeway Companies Employees Association? Perks sets up many discounts for them see lionk below.......
http://onlinescea.com/phoenix/discount-progra ... -discounts.html - MAS replies to ChristineValerie said she works WITH HR for the specific corporation. I guess the word "with" can be construed a few ways but we work with many HR departments, benefit departments, employee associations etc. For those are the departments that administer all employee benefits.
- MAS replies to same person| 2 repliesThats because Perks has worked with over 1200 corporations all over the country and what they do si update their website with new offers every day. This way the employees have new ways and places to save with. Why is it that everyone jumps on the band wagon and assumes the worst? Find out who PerksCard is working with, including the name of the person who will be distgributing the program and call them. If everyone took the same amount of time it took to post this and called the conact there would be no need for this. The sad part is that with the economy today everyone needs to save, including the businesses that claim this is a scam. Do you know that Perks also offers discounts to the business owners? Discounts on credit card processing fees, payroll services, office supplies. Services that any type of business need to runt heir business...........
- KatrinaI fell for it, and I'm pissed. They sweet-talked me into paying $198 for 4 months and am supposed to keep getting billed $40/month after that 4 months ends.
I'm trying to contact someone to cancel my PerksConnect account (I've gotten ZERO contacts from it), however, no one has helped me yet.
I might have to cancel the credit card that they have on file for me. :(
Feeling very ANNOYED!!- Caller: PerksConnect
- Katrina| 1 replyThis is the e-mail I got (see my prior post). I'm a start-up personal training biz, so they said just want I wanted to hear. I got so excited they were going to help my business take off. Two months and $200 later--ZERO leads.
To Whom It May Concern:
I am working with a few local organizations such as Continuum Health Partners, Generations+ and SUNY (State University Of New York). I am looking for a personal trainer that some of their 56,850 employees can go to. We are currently expanding our network of local businesses for them to use as a preferred source. If you are willing to offer special pricing or a discount to these employees, then we will feature your business in a variety of ways. You will be on a website that we created for the employees to go to, as well as a mobile site so they can have quick access to your location and contact information on their phones. You will even have the opportunity to send them messages, along with an easy way to track all your new customers.
I am interviewing today and I will only be selecting a few personal trainers. If you would like to offer a discount and work with these employees, please contact me ASAP.
Sincerely,

- Jenna replies to anonymousTheir rating is a C+ and they are not affiliated with the BBB they are a scam they will call all kinds of businesses and offer you the number ! "slot" of advertising in your niche. They will claim to represent thousands of employees who will use your services. They will charge $800.00 and then.........nothing no customers . How do you spell scam I spell it PERKSCARD
- Charles replies to CWFre??? You think it's free they rip you off for $800 with on ROI
- monte cox. cc computer replies to Rachelgot the same call , vcu, and richmond police, smooth lady, unfortunntitly its a scam, like i really had a company check book laying around, in my car while driving, i mentioned i had a auto paint company in which interested her, i did it on purpose to c if she would later call on the matrix auto paint company, for the same scam,
- LDC replies to DWilsonSame thing here....A local hospital needed our Audiology services. We would be the exclusive provider for 500 employees and family members. Julie X140 mentioned the names of several other well respected practices that were vying for the contract. We talked at length and she was very personable. She made it sound like a super good deal at $2,000. However she pressured me to get the approval immediately or we would lose the opportunity. I explained that I needed to go through a process of hospital approvals before giving an answer. She gave the impression she was pushing others off to give me time to put it together. However someone on the hospital admin who was looking over my request happened to know the head of HR at said hospital-seeking-our-services and called them up. Turns out there is no affliation between said hospital and Perks card and that they have no right to use their name or seek any services on their behalf. Our policy in a case like this is to contact security of both hospitals. Now, the next step is to call the police. I hope perks card (or whoever is posing as them) had fun on their little stint of scam crime. We are a large hospital but a small company could really be hurt by spending this much money with no return.
- Dinger replies to ChristineSame just happened to me yesterday stating they were representing Shriners Hospital. Just googled both the number she gave me 800-727-3757 x 140 & saw this site! Thankful to know that this was a scam!
- Queen replies to KatrinaHere's the email I received. I almost talked to this lady but decided to come here and found your story Katrina. Thank you for saving me from the headache and hassle!

Threw me for a bit when they wanted me to sign up for their "networking" service at 198.00, but then tried to negotiate even that price for what would work for me. I have no idea how they got my phone number, but when I have to pay someone to provide them a service.... there seems to be something very wrong with that situation. Glad I found this website. The old addage goes, " If something sounds too good to be true...it probably is."

- Common senseHonestly , If you give your credit card over the phone you must feel Comfortable and Confident enough to do it ( I personally never do it or I use a Check that takes a long time to clear and gives me time to read the fine print).
If you prefer to do you research that's great , That's what the internet is for! great good for you, here's a cookie!
But for all you people that got a phone call or an email , you can't go around calling other companies a scam because you don't understand how they work or even did any intensive research on them; then alone not even spoke to anyone at that company.
I was Contacted by Abe Delgado , Nice guy, great pitch. I did not feel Comfortable , it was just not for me he asked for 1495.00 and I told he right away and that's the conversation was over. But I am not going to go online and bad mouth a company I knew nothing about until I fully researched them .
All I am saying is Something's work for some people other things do not, Just remember Someone could be online posting negative things about your company and calling it a Scam for something that was lost in translation or just a person that was uninformed and had a bad attitude.
There are so many Businesses who are Victims of Ignorant people who just post crap online.
Now as business owners we now that not 100% of our Clients are going to be 100% happy with the services. And for perkscard to only have 8 complaints with 22 years in the industry and over 1500 Major nationwide know Clients and I don't know, about a Million Perkscard users ? Come on .
Do your homework , don't get fooled and don't believe everything you hear online.- Caller: 800-727-3757

- right... replies to joeyWhen Jenifer Castillo called me, her extension was 210...
- yeah right replies to anonymousI did a search for the BBB and they ARE NOT listed!! Furthermore they DO NOT have an A+ rating...
- HahaHilarious replies to julie192Well, Julie192, if you think that a legitimate business is one that resorts to lying and misrepresenting... and what amounts to fraudulent claims, then you certainly deserve their wonderful services.
So let me ask you... if "Jenifer" calls me up and tells me that she is a "plan administrator" for Horizon Blue Cross but instead turns out to be a telemarketer for Augeo which has a subsidiary called Perkscard... This is what you are calling a legitimate company?
Because if so... I am a prince in Nigeria, and I need your help getting 50 million$ out of my country. But of course, I will share the money with you, Julie192.
