It's American Medical Collection Agency. Either you have a bill associated with a medical facility that has been sent to their office, or your phone number was once used by a person who does. Or, they could be looking for a family member who owes. I have a $95 LabCorp bill that was placed with them. They are a legitimate colleciton agency.

I just got a call from this number. A women left a message saying there was an issue with my account that needed to be resolved. However, she did not even say what company she was calling from or what account she was speaking of. All of my accounts are up-to-date.

Do not owe any medical bills. Stop these scammers!!!! My number is on DO NOT CALL LIST!!!!

These people call me in periods, every day at odd hours, for several days once a month. The message they leave is obviously recorded, because it is the exact same message in the exact same voice and pattern. But when I call back, they can't give me information on why they called me in the first place. If they really are in collections, they need better employees who are organized enough to know who and why they call. Otherwise, they are nothing more than a spamming scam.

The number belongs to Student Assistance Corp., a company that acts as a 3rd party to get people to pay student loans. They charge exorbitant fees in excess as $3000-$4000! Do not answer. Do not work with them. It's best to call the lender yourself and make arrangements.

Not necessarily a scam. The phone number you have was owned by another, who owes on past medical bills. The cell phone, and telephone companies recycle phone numbers. I have received phone calls for people, who used to have my home phone number.  These people are not always nasty if you know how to talk to them.

People, when u get a call, plz fattened n talk to them n clear ur debts, be debt free in ur life then ever..!! They also have branch ofc in India..!!
So DO NOT panic if u get any person talking to u in foreign accent. They will have all ur details, .it fake!!!
