I also had the same problem with suncom. I have called numbers month after month to cancel and continue to get charges. I even took the phone away from my daughter and still get charges. You can add my name to the class action lawsuit.

I just had a frustrating call with a Suncom representative about this issue.  They have become very smooth in dealing with this but I found a way around it.  First, NEVER admit that ANYBODY other than you has had access to your phone.  I made the mistake of saying I have let my 5 year old talk to my husband on my phone.  She said that because I had 'confessed' to giving other people access then I was responsible for the charges.  She told me the average 5 year old knows more about downloading ring tones than the average adult!!!!!  Don't necessarily agree with that.  Anyway, I got her to admit that since all you needed to know when registering for this scam was a phone number then it was possible that anybody who knows my number did it, or somebody mistyped their phone number and I was charged.  She had no answer to that especially when I told her my 5 year old doesn't have access to surf the net.  It took about 15 minutes of patient explanation but they reversed the charge.

I just had the exact same problem with Suncom, except I didn't even receive the texts asking me to subscribe. I'm still in the process of having the charges dropped and I honestly did not even know what iWallet was until I looked it up. This is quite annoying.

I got scammed to a text message came through from Bid4Prizes and I said no to it but it charged me a 9.99 fee on my AT&T cingular wireless bill they said they could block the charge in the future but then for the heck of it I said have I been being charged previously for this charge because my bill was a bit high about $10.00 high by being an idiot I didn't check my bill thoroughly and sure enough for 8 months a Bid4Prizes $9.99 charge on my bill.  I told AT&T and they said they can only refund me for two months but any previous charges I would have to take up with Bid4Prizes I told them I don't want to even contact these scam artists.  I can just hear sure we can credit you sorry we at Bid4Prizes charged your cell phone without your knowledge please give us your credit card number!!!!  I did search and the company Newmotion Inc. is being criminally investigated by consumer affairs.  Hope they all get locked up!!!!!

I called Alltel Customer support - they were able to termniate the 3rd party service by sending an e-mail to Music Alerts for me - the service was prompt and friendly.

These pinheads hit my wifes phone just this month. She says she got texts from them and still has them but never responded, now our Verizon bill has Ringtone.com Alerts 8663. Based on what I'm reading, this has been going on with others for quite a while.
I'm wondering if they are getting cellphone numbers off the net.
She has it on a webpage, bet they picked it up from there.
    Pain in the a$$.
Thanks for protecting me Verizon from unsolicited charges (not).

I have an ancient 8 year old Tracfone that can't get premium texts. I received 2 messages from 75714, both of which said that I didn't have premium content enabled on my phone. I have no idea what they wanted, but I texted STOP back. So far, no more messages. I don't have to worry about them charging my account, but it still isn't right.

I have no idea how these people got my number. The only thing I have entered my cell phone number for online is Twitter phone posts and LiveJournal voice posts. Nobody even sees that number, except whoever runs Twitter and LJ. It makes me uncomfortable that reputable(?) sites would give away my information.

They got me on T-Mobile with SlimLizard.  Same response from T-Mobile as others have experienced with their carrier - my fault, my problem, no refund, no cancellation, you're on your own.  What a scam.  I'll make the appropriate complaints when I have time (State Atty General, FCC, BBB, etc.); somebody needs to stop these crooks.  They are committing fraud.

YES, I also got the same call and went to the internet and searched "B4P" then replyed to the call with a return message of "STOP" This returned a new message showing that I was now unsubcribed. No new messages so far. Next I went to a Government website entering my number to be remove from the calling list. I also found that once my number was entered it would take 31 days until I was removed and once your number has been entered it is only good for five (5) years. At which you will start getting them again.  Hope the above is of help.
