- Anon replies to Roger| 1 replyJust had the jerks move my service from my SIM card to theirs! Luckily, I was surfing at the time when my service went dead, so I got on top of it ASAP. Now, they have to call before making changes to the account.
T-Mobile has told me that so many people have fallen for this scam and they've sent it all to the police. - ScottHe said I would receive a $20 credit on my phone bill and $30 at every birthday. His survey questions went too far. Didn't make sense that T-Mobile would ask all of those. He gave this number for me to verify that this was T-Mobile. When I called it seemed to be but this site alerted me to trouble. I hung up on him and he called me back. I asked for a # that I could call and talk to him directly. He said no. I definitely think it's a scam.

How can they get the t-mobile website to show up on people phone? - MichalJust received the call from this #. Women with heavy Indian accent claiming she is calling from T-Mobile and I will receive $20 credit for survey.
First question "Are you pre-paid or post paid costumer" - I answered "you calling me from T-Mobile" you should know it. She took 30s to "confirm" with billing department.
Second "How happy are you with T-Mobile 1-10"
Third "How happy are you with quality of calls 1-10"
Fourth "Please provide your full address" - I said again if she is from T-Mobile she already knows it, so I am not going to give it to her. She dropped the call.- Caller: T-Mobile (pretend)

- Caller: Tmobile
- JamesIt is a scam if they call and ask you to do a survey to get a credit on your bill. They want you to verify the last 4 of your SSN so they can get into your account and order phones and send them to themselves (T Mobile representative stated). They will also send you a text claiming that the text verifies they are T Mobile as well, but they are NOT. T Mobile says hang up and do not answer any questions. They have called all my lines today so I called T Mobile.

- James replies to nguoisgIt is a scam, anyone can get an app to "spoof" any number they want to.
- BettyI am requesting that you remove my phone number from your call list. I do not want to receive calls from you, your company or your 1-800 number.
- Caller: ATT?
- AnonymousNot stating but from recent news and events i never opened my eyes as how governments and the rich are so corrupt. I wouldn't doubt these people are hired from our very same providers to gain income from international calls. I really hope it uasnt come to that bjt it doesnt seem like this issue is being adressed seriously or getting resolved.
- Caller: T-Mobile
- Al AnonGot a call from this number. I hit ignore then searched for it and found this thread. They're still at it...

- Ben_had_denGot hit with this scam....immediately checked with T-Mobile and confirmed SCAM. What is scary is that the scam-er was able to send a temporary password to my cell phone at T-Mobiles support number 456. The guy had a very heavy Asian accent. Their activity is intermittent because soon afterwards that number was disabled...at least for a while.

- johnMy wife was hit with this number on 3-14-2014 they asked her it was t-mobile asked her a few questions and verified the last 4 digits of her social. Then the next morning she had no signal or internet, i shut down her cell turned it back on and everything was good. I told her to call t-mobile and ask what could the problem be. T-mobile transferred her to the fraud dept. And began telling her that the sim was transferred over the phone but t-mobile stopped everything because its a big scam that's going on.. if you don't know the number don't pick up
- HeatherMan with a VERY thick accent called- I could barely understand what he ws saying. He wanted me to take a survey to find out how happy I was with my NEW T-Mobile service- figured it was a scam since I have had T-Mobile for 12 years, hung up.
- SKCalled at 12:00pm. No msg. I've been a T-Mobile customer for something like 10 years, btw...
- HamboneNot only did I get a call from this number, it put a reminder in my iPhone's reminder app to call it. I did when I read that it was T-Mobile to ask where they get off doing that to my phone, but then I see it's a phishing scam.
I have not contacted T-Mobile about their service, though I did initially get my number from them and keep it when I switched to AT&T five-plus years ago. - Michael replies to anonymousI should have known better. But I'm in the user research business, so I tend to be accommodating with survey requests. Certainly get plenty of political pollsters and customer support folks with thick accents.
Very slick weaving of Quality of Service questions and phishing, though I should been tipped off by how poorly structured the survey was becoming. I gave (rather than confirmed) my's SSN last 4 digits along the way; was somewhat distracted while at work and it didn't raise a red flag; I guess I get asked that question all the time now. (In fact, I had to give TMO's customer support rep my last 4 digits when I called to report the scam.) No wonder the scammers want it. But he didn't go into the text message thing reported by others.
Just to be safe, I logged in, beefed up my security questions, and had TMO's customer support add a verbal password to my 611 support. A couple of hours later, my T-Mobile.com login reported "account temporarily disabled due to too many incorrect login attempts." So apparently the scammers tried immediately.
FYI, the billing zip code is used in step 1 of the "forgot password" process, but step 3 verification is routed via text message to my phone, via my registered email address, or Security Questions. So the whole thing seems pointless without the "read back the message" ruse. Will they use (or resell) my personal info for identity theft or credit fraud? - mm| 1 replyThis number is definitely a scam. I wasn't comfortable giving any information for a credit on my phone bill. When I refused to give any information the rep rattled off his first and last name, and then a rep# which I wasn't able to write down. I called T-mobile's customer care number 611 and let them know about the call. The customer care rep told me that the call is definitely not a T-mobile call because real T-mobile reps do not provide last names.
Remember people, do not give out your information especially if a company is calling YOU to "verify" it.
