Call at 3:13pm on 3/4/2008.   Used a false caller id tag of "outgoing call (o)."    No message was left.  Company is Municipal Services Bureau, Government Services, 6505 Airport Blvd, Suite 100, Austin TX.  They apparently specialize in collecting traffic ticket fines.  Many people complain of rude treatment and false charges.   I haven't received a traffic ticket since 1982, so what they want with me is anyone's guess.  Typical sleazy collection tactics.

Called at 8:30pm EST 3/13/2008.  Didn't answer because I don't answer numbers I don't know.  Did a quick Google search and found this page.  If they collect traffic tickets i have no idea why they are calling me, never had one.

I've been called by them about seven times, but they always hang up.  Quite a mystery.  Austin, makes some sense since I used to live there, but not sure why they would call me.  Let you know if they ever decide to talk.

got a call from this number. they asked for my social security number but i hang up. anybody knows why they called?

Called me at work.  I read posting that indicated this is a collection company trying to collect for traffic fines.  I don't have any outstanding tickets or fines, so I have no idea why they're calling me.  Certainly irritating.

this company works a lot with courts and government fees turned over to collections. I get the feeling they just call people with same names and try to get your social to verify you are the one who owes the money. I refused to give out my social to them and they became quite rude. they call about 1 to 3 times a day, starting at 8 am, which is pretty harassing to me, especially after they told me the last 4 of the social for the person they are calling about and I told them that wasn't my last 4. threatened to report them to no avail, finally shut off the house phone. problem solved :)

You are right! They have also sent me many mail pieces that look like official government mail but like you said they are just sleazy collection agency. I called their number and I told them I was recording the conversation and I asked if they were any part of the government and please clarify what your company does. Their agent said they are a collection agency and I recorded the conversation. They are just some dumpster diving, low life, sleazy collection agency trying to collect 20 year old debts. Tell them to go to hell. That's what I did.

Kathy left a message 7/1/09 at 9:28AM, that if I did not return their call they would begin court preceedings. I didn't like her tone or her attitude. I have no intention of returning the call/s. They have called several times before and each time leaving a different call-back number although the person calling was always the same person. I have always had excellent credit and paid my bills. No need for me to worry about them.

They call several times a day for a couple of days in a row and then stop for a few days and then start again. They never leave ant messages but the last call the left a automated message, (called from 512-371-7143) that said to call 800-866-9436.  I don;t have any traffic tickets and haven't had one in over a year and always paid them on time whenever I got them, so not sure why they are calling me. I will not call them back.

Called twice and claimed that I owed a massive ammount for a couple of ambulance rides. The first "agent" of this supposed company was extremely rude and "got verbally abusive". Please note, I have only been in one, in my life-time and it was not provided by the service they claimed to represent. Their second representative "Angelica" insisted "she had my ssan", I refused to give her my "last four". She gave me the adress they were mailing to and it is a street corner no where near my house. Thank God for Google and the internet. Is there a decent lawyer out there or do I have to call the attorney general?

Report to the Attorney General. They are who enforces the laws regarding debt collection.

They called to collect a past due disputed water bill for the city of rio rancho water dept in new mexico. used both numbers described above.

I received several calls for someone I've never heard of from a recorded message.  They say you can call them to remove your number, but when I did,the message stated I should  call a 900 number that costs money!  Stop calling me!

YES, I got a couple of calls from this Collection Company and I have only an small idea what it is all about. They go by two names, Gila Corp and MSB, all located in Austin, TX, which is also a home to the SBC now AT&T company. I ordered unseen over the Internet a Blackberry phone but when I got it, I found it not good for me with the small tastatur/keys. Since they send me a monthly bill for the 30-day trial, sent back the phone intime, and now they forward it to this collection agency. I will have to do more about it and think now having any problems as they have already 87 complaints listed on the BBB site. When I buy something unseen and return in in time, there should be no bill for me, just I do not pay for gas when I try out a car at a dealership nor when an realtor show me homes, etc. All business expenses of the seller and if they would run their busness properly they would have included these charges in their business plans as a cost of doing business. But all phone companies, utilities are running on something I have not fully figured yet but much is of arrogance, you need us/  we get from you what we need, speak mega bucks. But Americans are known to suffer and it goes worse by the day as they figure out more ways to hurt us like Credit rating companies. Not wonder, you go for a job interview one day, all looks good to be hired and a few days later you get a clear "No". Lucky I am retired and going on my last stretch in the 70-80's range. For years (since 2008)  Municipal Services Bureau (a private debt collector specializing in debts owed to municipalities)  has plagued me with endless robocalls concerning a traffic ticket some woman whom I have never heard of was issued by someone, somewhere, sometime; all of which I have no idea.    No matter how many times I tell them it's not me, a few months later they start calling again.   Finally, I blocked their number (800-866-9436)  so they couldn't ring through.  

Recently, apparently in an attempt to frustrate call management devices, they have come up with a new tactic.   They are now calling with no name or number showing on the caller ID.   In my case the call went through to my answering machine.   A recorded message from some guy (computerized voice)  with an outrageously exaggerated English accent and calling himself "Mr Blair,", demanded that Ms "Such-and-such" call 800-866-9436 to resolve her debt.  Not only was it recorded, it's one of those canned, computerized voices and not a very good one at that.   They also mentioned if I wasn't the right person (Duh, how many times have I told them that!) I should call as well to have my number removed from the list.  No, I don't think so.  Made that mistake already.

BTW, anyone know if it's legal to call without a name or number on the caller ID?    They aren't being deceptive about who they are or why they are calling, just blanking their name and number on the caller ID itself so you can't identify them until you pick up.

Well, they're still calling--it's been four years now.   This time it's a computer voice for the same woman, I guess (last name unintelligible) saying to call 800-866-9436 between the hours of seven to eleven, Central time.   They don't say why they call or who they are.   My caller ID shows "incoming call" and they are somehow blocking their phone number.   Honestly, it's gotten to the point where I wouldn't give them any information even if I did have the slightest idea who this woman is they want for whatever.

i've been getting these calls on my office phone. leaving a message for some unintelligible name. i dont have any outstanding bills or unpaid debts because i just recently saw my credit report and have it monitored by my bank. they call sometimes twice in the hour. sometiems from a 512 ATX number.

Just started receiving calls from this company.  After weeks of not leaving a message, rec'd the auto caller described by others.  Thanks for the heads up... I will just ingnore.

they keep calling a business phone number, leaving an unknown person name, and when you attempt to call them back to let them know they have reached the wrong number there is just a recording to pay your bill in full or make payments.
