- kjsmith7 replies to JayInteresting enough I did place the 800-918-4224 number and google and find these posts. Thank you, thank you to the person for starting this and definitely saved me some time, as well. I received a call today at my work number, interesting enough from Bridgett. The same message left in regards to winning a Ford Explorer or 25,000 in cash. SCAM written all over it. I actually had dialed the number prior to this website popping up and was on hold for a few minutes with the great music as someone else had mentioned in their post.
There definitely should be more posts like these ... it sends out a good message that we're looking out for our fellow consumers/citizens. - 911 replies to Wendy| 4 repliesI am ready for them next time, I will say one of the following and that will get my number off of their list. a) 911, how may I direct your call,
b) Dective Johnson's office, how may I help you? c) Better Business Bureau, how may I direct your call d) Johnson's Psychiatric Hospital, how may I direct your call?
My number will assure you be deleted from their list! I work at a hospital and we don't have time for these constant irritating calls. - AI just got the same call this morning at work from "Mandy". Of course, she mentions the Ford Explorer or $25K promotion, but doesn't actually tell me I've won, instead saying "I have some really good news for you" and to call back ASAP with the claim number she gave.

- JBSame Shi't ... Mandy and exactly like Arny mentioned above. I wonder how they got my number and if we can do anything against this.

- JackReceived a call at work on my VM from a "Mandy" (made up name) Stating that I could have a Ford Explorer or $25,000. in cash. Total scam. Since it is recorded on my VM, I will send the recording to FCC and have these people shut down. These telemarketers are financed by Credit Card collection as well as other companies to verify your phone # so they can continue to hassel you. If you call them back, their phone system already records the incoming number so don't call them back unless it is from a public pay phone (yea, find one of them). How stupid do w

- jlibToday, Feb 20, 2008, I received a phone call from 434-878-9976. This lady was claiming that it was my last notice of something, I couldn't understand or follow. I was told to call 18009184224 with a claim number. I looked up the number and it's some type of scam. Who would of known? Thanks!
- Elle JayI'm glad that we have this resource but what the heck is actually being done about these people getting shut down! We've been receiving messages about winning a Ford Explorer for over one year! I ask to speak to management there and I'm blown off. They told me that if I give them my phone number that I'll be taken off their marketing list. Ha! We'll see if they actually do that! The number 800-918-4224 and then I'm given a claim number. What a JOKE!

- LignumI got a voice mail saying Award claim Center and that I won a Ford Explorer. I calle 1800-918-4224 and spoke to Veronica, after I gave her the claim#, she started to ask me personal questions such as are you married and the name of your significant other. I stop her and ask what company is this why the questions she got mad and said I should get off her line.
I called back and she answered, I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said no supervisor available, they all gone for the week (Fri 2:50 PM). She said she can handle any issue or concerns that I have. I told her she was rude to me earlier, she said yes and I gonna do it again, then she became Obnoxious, then I heard some people in the background saying 'Go Veronica, you go Girl". - KellySFor me it was a message on my voicemail, and I called back because the person leaving the message was completely incomprehendable. But they must have given away the Explorer or the $25 Grand, cuz dang they dropped it down to only $20,000 for me. Dang, I was looking so forward to winning all that money for no reason.

- chetmartinThis time it was Doris with a sultry voice like she works evenings at a 1900 number and a $20,000 offer. I'm all in favor of the suggestion a bit above about calling them whenever you have a chance just to tie up their lines. That'll keep them busy. Someone should play with them like the 419'ers do with the Nigerian scam guys and see how long they keep them on the phone. Fake a heart attack and such and see if they hang up on you.

- S| 3 repliesI used to work for "Awards Claim center". Do not ever give your info to them. I needed a job badly, and that was the only place who would hire me. I hated every second of it. Basically how it works is if you dont meet a certain income requirement and aren't of a certain age, they put you into the "final drawing at the end of the year". There is no final drawing. Just something they say to make you think it's legit. If you do qualify they give u a speil about a no pressue presentation. and say you'll win a prize at the end. Which u do, but its sooo not worth it. I couldnt sleep at night working for those losers.
