"CRA"Called multiple times looking for Donald McDonald.... Scam

Is this a scam?  When you call the number the answer Canada revenue.  Ask for your social ins number

Why can’t the phone company trace this number? Why don’t the newspapers have a dedicated space listing these fraudulent numbers? I block them (there are more than just this one) on my phone. It wouldn’t hurt the online social companies have a FRAUD button available for their many customers to use. Get the word out to the public every day.

I got a call from this number today Sept 27, 2018, and when I answered, it sounds like my call was re-routed as I heard a phone ringing before someone speak on the other end and the woman on the other line asked my name and I said yes, then she said, I want you to confirm information we have on file, I said what info you have and she said can’t tell you that, so I said I won’t ptovide you any info as I don’t know who you are, and she said you want to call me back and confirm and I said no and hung up. So much scam going on now using Revenue Canada so better be careful than sorry.

Received call from 1-800-931-1026 ( Caller ID GOC-GDC), caller identified herself as being from Canada Revenue Agency asking for my wife by name. I didn't say I was the husband.
Asked her to confirm she was with the CRA and she said yes.
I asked what this is about, was told she could only speak to my wife (used her name).
I asked if I can take a message, caller said yes.
She wanted my wife to call CRA back @ 1-800-959-2250 and to have her SIN available.
Open from 7am to 11pm.
I asked caller for her name and without hesitation said Donna.
Then she asked me for my name, gave a fictitious name.
Just to see, I called both numbers, trouble is they both sounded extremely legit.
Talked to a live person on both numbers, didn't even have to be on hold.
Played a little then hung up.

Received a scam call from 18009311026 at 3pm
Did not pick up, no voicemail was left

Yes they tell me that I owe money and if I dont pay.there will be problems

Called saying they were from HST and asked to speak with our son. Knew his name, business name and his HST #.. Left a number for him to return the call, said they will need his middle name when he calls back and quote the HST # (they gave it to me)

Said fr Revenue..gave them no info..said they would mail me n knew my address. Will bring that letter to proper authorities. Heavy accent. Scam

No answer when I picked up

This caller is not legitimate! The number has been reported many times to the actual CRA. If the CRA needs to contact you they will not do it by phone. You can report these calls to http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.ca/index-eng.htm
That is the Canada Anti-fraud Centre. They are well aware of this scam and others.
Do not give them any personal information. Just hang up.

You must work for them if you believe THAT.  It's easy to say "check our 1-800" number and suck in the gullible. Best not to talk to them.  Tell them they have your info on file and, if they want to chat with you, to send you a letter.

Be careful they called me Friday night, I told them to be ashamed of themselves, get lost and then I hung up the phone. Of course, they said they are from Canada revenue Agency.

They requested me to make a payment before the end of the year regarding revenue declaration of 2018 which is not over yet....

Not true.  It is a scam and you are likely part of the scam group.

just got a call from this number - caller ID was GOC-GDC - I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message - wanted to check the number and it appears to be a scam.

Received a call from 1-800-931-1026. Voicemail stated they were with CRA and I should call them back asap and to have my SIN ready for them.  If this is a scam as is being claimed by dozens, if not hundreds, of responses here, since 2007, then how is it being justified by the government of Canada. If this is a scam then GOC should be ashamed. Get off your A**es COC and do your job before one more person falls prey to these swine.
