- beachcatCalls are 2-3 times a day. Usually I don't answer, but when I did, a recording said a representative would be on the line shortly, I hung up. I am on do not call list, no idea who this is calling and it is quite annoying.
- Mr. and Mrs. ReynoldsThis number is calling us day and night, weekends and weekdays. Even though I blocked the number they still try over and over and we get a single ring before they get the message that we will not accept the calls. How can we STOP them. We are on the Do Not Call List.

Received a call from this number. Caller did not speak, but waited a few seconds and then hung up. I put call intercept on my phone, and it seemed to help for a few months, but now I am getting many calls with different numbers. I have quite a list of numbers on my do not call list with the telephone company. Call intercept is better than call block, because call intercept works for numbers that are out of area. Call block does not work for long distance numbers. - LisaThey call every day, at least once a day. I made the mistake of picking up th ephone once, and it was a recording that said, "Thank you for calling us." At that point, I hung up, but they keep calling and calling.

- Arkansas Target replies to SMK| 2 repliesNo, it's an actual credit card company/bank. I have one of their cards, unfortunately, and got behind on it due to medical bills. :^( Until I figure out something to tell them, I'm not answering. (I've been making minimum paymets, but I'm still over the limit and occasionally late.) Unfortunately, "I'm doing the best I can to catch up" isn't going to mean anything to them.
- banker replies to Arkansas Target| 1 replyI'm not late on any bills but they still apways call
- Arkansas Target replies to bankerIf you don't have a card, they may be trying to get you to apply for one. If you do, they may be trying to sell you some kind of "protection service" for it. It's a common thing for credit companies/banks that issue credit, apparently.
- Arkansas Target replies to Ami| 3 repliesThe most efficient way to avoid this type of call is to actually take the protection. It generally costs cents on the dollar (.40-.80, generally, for every 1.00 of your balance), they don't bill you separately for it (it's charged to your card), and it may actually come in handy for many people. Plus once you have it, it puts a total stop to idiots calling you trying to get you to take it. Note: some companies will still call you trying to interest you in a "lower interest rate offer"--these I ignore, because they always begin with "there's no problem with your card, however..." then they go into this offer. I figure I don't want to hear from them even if there *is* a problem with my card, so I don't bother to answer (they leave this message on my answering machine).
