I turned off ringer and use home phone for answer machine only. Voice mail messages only are sent by text to cell phone by U-verse app. I screen them there and delete. Does not get rid of calls but I don't have home phone disturbing family night and day and I don't miss important calls. I also have caller ID on TV so I can answer a number I recognize..Do not call list is a joke, I got more calls when I signed up.

I am getting more than 8 calls a day from 1-800-942-1970.  I want these very annoying calls stopped immediately.  It is always a different "company" using the number.

Just received a call from the above telephone number. No audio heard during my telephone system's auto attendant greeting. Call just disconnected.

Calls three times a day (morning, afternoon, & night), including Sunday.
I never answer.

I keep getting these calls from 800-942-1970.  Called it back today and it said the tool free number for Terminx was no longer in service, but did not give another number to call.  Who can else can I complain to bout this?

I have been receiving this call at least once a day. I put the number on my block list, so the phone still rings once when they call. irritating. I just called it back and pressed three to be put on their do not call list.  I hope this works! Even if it doesn't they are still blocked.

Left no message.  Blocked.

This number calls multiple times a day.  Even though I'm on do not call, even though I have reported the number.  I unplug the phone it's so annoying...then within a 1/2 hour of plugging it in....another call!!

I'm cancelling my phone.  

Newt Gingrich and the Koch Brothers are behind this number. Last time I checked; Barack Obama. This operation was to raise money and collect names for get out the vote activities. I'm a Democrat, but I do not hate conservatives; I disagree with them; and I am sick and tired of the "hating" liberals talk...

Call on a daily basis. Answer the phone and no one answers in return. Truly tired of this nonsense.

I finally called the number back because they are driving me crazy. There was a recording from Newt Gingrich and my head exploded. I could not find anyway to unsubscribe from these calls.

I did call the number but need to call back on Monday as the office was called. I punched in a "1" as the propaganda was spewing some utter nonsense. That is when I was told to call back on Monday. We need to bombard their office with calls. They call my house probably ten times a day- morning and night.

Every day since November this number calls, Monday thru Sunday.  Every day!

It should be illegal for anyone to call repeatedly like this. Once, twice, maybe even three times can be considered a fund raiser or a survey effort maybe but day after day after day is nothing but harassment.

I'd suggest this to my so called congressional representative but since there's nothing in it for him it's unlikely anything would ever come of it. If I offered to give him money (lots more than I have) then maybe he'd listen to me and maybe I'd see results. Se la vie...

The other thing that will help, if you have a cell phone, if it doesn't already have call blocking, there are free call blocking apps online you can get for some phones. If you have a land line, google call blocking devices. There are phones also available with call blocking but they do not hold as many numbers as devices do. Many of the devices run around 50.00 or less. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

800-942-1970 calls my home 7 days a week, literally. And they call several times each day. I bought a great call blocker and it works! they don't stop calling but after the first ring, the call is blocked. Dittos for credit card services and the rest of the crappy callers. Do Not Call lists don't work. I've heard 65% of Americans voted for the Do Not Call Registry but so what? There's no one there to enforce it .....

These people call me everyday, sometimes multiple times. They call at all hours, late in the evening and Sunday mornings.
I am sick to death of these folks, I hope they all have a terrible Christmas, they certianly deserve it.

I get approximately 10 or 12 calls a day from 800-942-1970.  They start promptly at 9am and keep calling throughout the day until about 9pm.  I don't answer, so I don't know who is calling.  I know it's not anyone I know from that number.

Best way to get rid of them is buy a fax machine with call blocker (not that you'll need this feature too much) and set the number of rings before it answers to your liking and I guarantee after those jerkwads get a few heaping servings of Fax in their ears IT WILL STOP. (Make sure you've got call block feature on your home phone though to keep long distance scammers from commandeering the fax)
