Practically every teacher carries a cell phone with them during class (even though they have a phone in the room) - why should students be held to a higher standard than teachers? Also, it IS harassment. You are obviously one of those people who believe school personnel are wonderful and lovely and fart roses, while in reality most are nasty and or really lazy.

More than likely a person at the school district doesn't like this person, so they added that phone as a contact.

I have spoken with AESOP and they WILL NOT REMOVE any numbers. They allow anyone who gets the service to enter any number they wish, and then it is up to the person being called to find out who has entered the number and ask them to remove it, because AESOP won't remove it.

Also, by the way kids do need cell phones for emergencies - in case your favorite people (the school non-workers, aka school personnel) don't bother to call the emergency contact. It happened to me - the emergency contact was my mother, but they decided that since they were friends with my grandmother they would call her instead, and she was not home.

You need to get a grip on how the real world operates. School personnel use this stupidly designed service to harass people they don't like (just like the teacher who told my mom they mistreated me because they hated my dad).

Only an incompetent moron would set up a system like that, for several reasons:
-people are stupid and don't check their typing
-people are nasty and like causing trouble
-people who sit near the phone for 18 hours a day in case someone calls are either crazy or a product of a welfare family, most people have to do something during the day

It won't matter if the school KEEPS RE-ADDING THE NUMBER, which they do and have done in my case.

Stop lying. The AESOP people are nasty and WILL NOT REMOVE your number. I keep contacting them and they have REFUSED TO DO SO. They must fit in real well with the school employees - two faced, nasty, and unwilling to do anything.

Called at 6:30, 7, 7:30, 8, 8:30 AM CST. At least I should be glad they no longer call at 5:30 in the morning like they were a year ago. They have also called as late as 10:30 PM.

Also, the company is nasty if you contact them directly and have refused to remove my number. In fact, they have refused to even acknowledge that they are calling me.

How much are schools paying for this POS service? Are the schools so lazy that they can't call people on their own? How many subs should you need - oh, that's right, school employees are angry if they have to work more than a few hours a day 6 months out of the year (talking and eating is not working unless you're a food critic).

It is a sub calling system. There is an option if you listen to the full call you can press, I think it's 3 to tell them  to stop calling you.

Your'e kidding!  I thought it was some telemarketer.  The phone rang this morning at 5:30 and we have two relatives in the hospital.  I thought someone had died!  Then I was so mad at what I thought was a telemarketer that I was out for blood!  Good to know it's a sub agency, but how do we get them not to call on the days we don't want to sub?

If you have a day blocked out as a non-work day, it won't call for that day.  It could be calling for a job for a future date.

People don't sit by a phone 18 hours a day. Most people have cell phones that they carry in their pockets, and substitutes are happy to get calls because that means money, as they will be having a sub job that day.  It doesn't matter what time of day it is, an employee can call in to Aesop's number for the district in which they work, to state that they need either a sick day or a personal day, as emergencies in families do come up quickly, such as a sick child, or the person him/herself coming down with something at midnight or 2 a.m.  A child can get a fever in a matter of hours and then a parent would need to stay home to take the child to the doctor.  After the call is made to Aesop, it will then automatically put calls out for a sub for that teacher, or other type of school employee.  Go to their website and watch some of the videos.  It is much better than the old days of having to wait till 4 a.m. to call into the school to speak to a live person, then that person had to call around to see what sub could be reached or who was available.  Welcome to our century.

this is a danger to society...this is non-stop harassment...this is illegal...i don't care even if at one time in history I did perhaps have my number enrolled in this disaster system, it is illegal to have an automated phone repeatedly call my phone and put my life in disarray...and in danger, ie: while driving a vehicle and receiving calls that never stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
