I jst got a call from this number bout 17 min ago n. Its early morning WTH ARE THEY DOING CALLING AT 6AM ...

This is a number to a jail from an inmate. Often this message wanted the owner to accept a call. After the sixth call on our phone they started putting explicatives and threats with the request to accept the call.  I had it all on VM. I called my provider and finally blocked the number and turned it into the police.

Yah, it's NCIC Inmate Communications.   They're legit and prices aren't  horrible like some providers.

If you listen to the voice prompts, NCIC gives you an option to block future calls from this nut.

Ever stop to think the number might be getting spoofed by scammers? No, you come here and act like a shill. If someone is NOT expecting a call from such a number and KNOWS that fact, it makes your 'totally legit' comment moot.

If this is a “legit” number, then someone is using it in an illegitimate way. I don’t know anyone in jail, especially anyone who might be calling me. Beware of this number!!

I got a call on my cell too. I declined the call. Any idea who they were and what they wanted?

Three calls from this number, voicemail simply mumbled an unidentifiable name like "Dewey" from the Balch Springs Police Department (Texas). Called three times, and I never could understand the name of the individual. I don't answer unidentified numbers. This was to my business phone.
