Yep, its a Scam for sure, trying to get your credit card numbers!  I get about 5 of these calls daily telling me that they are going to reduce my credit card interest rate.  I like to waist as much of their time as possible, when they figure out that I wont give them valid C.C. numbers they start cussing like ya wouldnt believe.  All the callers sound like they are from Pakistan or India. When they are cussing, I ask if they talk to their momma like that, and they just get alot madder!  Be safe out there and dont give out your credit card numbers.

The scammers can make any number show up on caller id. Scammers are using a chase number in hopes of someone falling for their scheme.

May 22, 2018, 5:51 PM - missed robocall from "800-945-2000 Unknown Name" to my number on the national DNC list.  I just missed answering, perhaps because of a few less than the usual number of rings. No message was left. On May 9, 2018 I got a credit card robocall from the same 800-945-2000 caller ID, which is transcribed on page 30 of this complaint list.

Some bozo spoofing the Chase number is all it is. Credit card numbers are what they're after here. Either block, or completely ignore the number in all ways, if possible. Make sure they get no kind of answer and wait them out. It's possible to get rid of them that way with time. Can't be done if you risk missing an emergency or emergency.~I Was Prepared~JustinCase

Received a call from 800-285-8585 saying that they spoke to me the other day and I declined to have my interest rate lowered for my Walmart Credit Card and wanted to know why?  I advised I do not have a Walmart Credit Card. He asked me if I was sure?  I said yes, he said he has my account in front of him and he is showing my balance of over $3000.00.  I asked him the Social Security No.# associated w/the card...he said he cannot give out SS No.#, but he verified the last 4-digits.  I told him that he had the wrong SS No.#. He said that is what he has.  He said I am speaking with Tina M******* right? I said my name is Christina.  He said you go by Tina right? I said NO, on my credit cards, I use my full legal name.  He kept asking me to hold and then came back and to say this is what I am showing. I said you have contacted the wrong person.  He said I was lying to him because I had verified my information with him. I said, NO, I did not verify any information, you called me, you told me the information I asked for and I told you it was incorrect. He was speechless. When he went to say something else, I said..."WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME? WHAT KIND OF SCAM IS THIS?"  He hung-up!  Two (2) seconds later I got a call from 800-945-2000 from a female who said she was with Card Member Services. I told her I just got off the phone w/one of her other representatives, she did not believe me.  She said you don't remember talking to me the other day about lowering my interest rate w/my Chase card. I said...This is a scam I am NOT Interested.  She threatened to cancel my Chase account.  I hung up on her, she called me right back, she said...."Do you want me to cancel your account?" I Hung Up Again! She called right back AGAIN! I said, I already talked to Chase, SOTP CALLING, she tried to threaten me AGAIN saying she is canceling my account!!!! But, I hung up on her again!  For now, the calls have stopped. I reported this to Chase!  UNBELIEVABLE!!!
