- JoshGot a call from a 225-263-2008. I answered the first time. Foreign sounding lady called claiming she was from the pre-trial division from the State of Louisiana about an upcoming claim about to be filed in court against me. Refused to give any further information unless I verified my personal information. Told her no, to mail me something and I'll review it. Asked if I still lived at an address I have never, ever lived at or even heard of. I hung up. Called back that afternoon and left a voice mail saying the same thing and to call 800-946-7995 or a case will be filed against me.

- NanReceived a call from 731-207-0107 twice this a.m. Didn't recognize the number on first ring and didn't answer. On second ring, I did answer. I was asked (by a woman who said her name was Michelle Turner) if I knew anyone by the name of...and she gave me a female first name with a last name the same as mine. I related to the caller that I didn't know anyone by that name. Then she asked if I knew anyone with a male name (with the same last name as mine). I said, "Yes; he's my son." She asked to speak with him. I advised her he wasn't here at the present time. I asked if I could give him a message from her. She said "No." "I have to speak with him regarding an NAR (arbitration) Group matter between the female name and the male name she gave me in the beginning of our conversation. She proceeded to relate my son should return her call to the number 800-946-7995 and I was given a case number for him to reveal at the time he returned her call. I Googled the 800 number and am happy to see others have encountered the same apparent SCAM. Thank you Google for this wonderful service you provide for people who might have been SCAMMED if it weren't for this website.

- Kim| 3 repliesReceived a call from 219.318.1752 on my home phone. She gave her name as representing the State of Texas. A debt I owed. I was really puzzled because I have not lived in Texas in 20 years. She left the number 800 946 7995 to make arrangements to pay said debt. I looked up the 219 number. It was a cell phone number located in Northwest Indiana. When I looked up the 800 number it brought me to this site. I will NOT respond. Thanks for helping me avoid the SCAM!
- Caller: State of Texas - no company

- MJG replies to KimSuggestion --- drop an email to the Texas attorney general. It is illegal to claim to be a government employee.
- Juanita WalkerThe call came in from 386-319-4398 and they left a message and were very threatening in their message. In the message they left the number 800-946-7995 and a case #. I called back and couldn't even understand the person on the other end of the phone. I asked them several times to slow down and speak where I could understand. I told them do not call back on my cell. They had my social security number and name. I told them to mail me something and I would respond. They called back again and left a very nasty message. I want to do something about these people. It is fraudulent. They referenced something from 2009 and I told them it wasn't on my credit report and that if it wasn't on there I wasn't concerned about it.
- Caller: They stated some collection group
- Call type: Debt collector
- WendyI received the same call but for my husband stating that they would be pursuing this matter and this was a pretrial call. She stated that she was calling for the State of Texas on two matters. Yeah sounds like a scam or maybe a new way of doing some sort of collection calling trying to scare you to death. Isnt that illegal anyways.
So wont be calling them back anyways.. wonder how many people actually fall for these types of scames - KatieJust received a call for my brother (I think the "Wendy", above, is my sister-in-law) so they have my home number and my bother's wife's number. The lady said her name was Rebecca Brown and had two VERY old phone numbers "on file" for my brother. She asked for an updated number but I did not give it to her. She also said she was calling from the State of Texas and that there were pending allegations against my brother and that she needed to talk to him right away. Seemed VERY suspect.
- KatieForgot to add the name of the company in my post above. The lady stated she was from the Neiman Aguilar Rochester Group based out of Miami. Horrible.

- DavidI just now received this type of phone call "From the State of Florida" and that I have 4 allegations against me from an apartment complex. She wanted me to verify the last 4 of my social security, I did not, asked what this was about, and she would not tell me. Called me 3 times now, going to auto-reject.
- ClaudiaReceived call from some very foreign lady saying they were calling from the state of Ohio and suit was bringing against me. That once the police located me, I would have no recourse. They also called my daughters phone. Told me to call 800-946-7995 and gave a case number. Scam - so tired of them.
- Caller: Could not understand

- Katie Paul| 3 repliesI've gotten at least 2 calls a week for the last two weeks from some foreign woman (absolutely no idea what her name is as I couldn't understand her) said there is pending allegations against me and that they are going to contact my HR dept and "serve me on site" if I don't call 800-946-7995 and ref case no. 9444. Have fun doing that as my corporate is in a complete other state, stupid piece of crap scammers! Thankfully I ALWAYS look up numbers I don't recognize. UGH! How do we make these calls stop? - Tired| 1 replyThese folks called my employer asking for me. Gave my employer all kinds of information about alleged allegations and a suit being brought against me. No personal calls can be received at my job nor do I think it is legal to disclose personal information to someone other than me over the phone. I wasn't even given the opportunity to ask that whomever call my personal line nor have I received anything in writing. Even if I owed the debt, how can I verify the info if it's not given to me
- Caller: Neiman Aguilar Rochester

- LeslieThey called from the same number claiming to be the group stated below. Pre-trial arbitration. Then they called my fathers cell phone!? They did have the last four of my social? Who are these people really? Funny that just yesterday I got a call from Texas- claiming to be the IRS.... That number was 1-979-589-4070. I reported both numbers. Whoever they really are- avoid them.

- fed upThey called looking for someone I know and they had their information and my full name. Very upsetting. They were trying to reach someone in my family and I told them I had no contact with them. They refused to tell me what it was about, who they were, or where they were calling from. They did tell me that their "client" was pressing legal action against said individual and if they could not be reached then they were take that legal action against myself. I determined that the number is also connected with 443-290-6042 which is located in Parkville Maryland on Forest Valley Rd. Ismael Grosclaude.
