if you get a call FROM this number, be aware that scammers, or any 14 year old with 15 minutes on hand to figure out how to, can spoof their caller ID to be anything they want it to be. so, while this number may be legitimate, if "this number" is calling you, you should assume it is a scammer. especially if the operator is indian-sounding

It is a Citi-Card number you can call back safely to this number.  Never trust a caller you were not expecting a call from and never let them transfer you to another number.

SCAM!!!!!The pre-recorded message heard when you answer the call, informs you that they have been monitoring your credit card payment history and you are eligible for a reduced rate.  I asked the person, with the strong Indian accent, which Card are they were monitoring.  He asked what is my interest rate, but he had not told me for what card, you know- since they have been monitoring it and all, when I asked again, he said I needed to
Isten to him.  I asked for which card, again, and told me I was wasting his time and hung up on me.  I called back the number and a recorded voice asks for a card number or your SSN before you can talk to a representative.
Report these people and any others doing the same.  These people are thieves!!
Sadly, their easiest targets are the elderly.

While this is actually a number for Citi Credit Card Support, this call is not from them. It's been spoofed.  Last week I got a "Card Services" call, and played with them for a while. Told them I was reluctant to believe it was actually Citi (and Card Services and Experian - all of them are the same, right???), so he called me back with Citi's number in the Caller ID. Played with him for a while, but didn't have a fake name generator handy.  I don't even have a Citi card...

So "Citi" is calling me against today. Bets on if it's the same foreign scammer, since they believe I'm a Citi customer? That's how you poison the well...

This is a fake credit card services scam originating from a call center in India using fake spoofed U.S. phone numbers, trying to steal your personal identity information and credit card numbers. These same India scammers have called using both fake Caller ID numbers of 800-950-5114 for Citi Card and 800-945-2000 for Chase Bank and their scam call begins by immediately asking for your card number. NEVER PROVIDE ANY CREDIT CARD NUMBER TO ANY UNSOLICITED CALL BECAUSE 99.999% OF THESE CALLS ARE TOTAL SCAMS!! These exact same India call centers also try to sell you fake Viagra or try to sell fake car warranty extension services, again nothing but a scam to steal your money. Their Viagra scam is no longer working, so they are pretending to be Citi Bank, Chase Bank, and Blue Cross health insurance now. These same India scammer call centers also run the 'Microsoft Support' and 'HP Support' scams phoning you to say that your computer has a virus. More than 95% of all North America phone scams originate from crowded phone rooms in India that run multiple scams every day ranging from fake pharmacies to posing as fake IRS officers collecting on 'unpaid back taxes', and the India government knowingly lets these phone scams proliferate. But these scammers are so bad with their acting that you have to be a fool yourself to be tricked by their fake products or services. As with these fake credit card scams, their English is so terrible that they try to lure you by using a pre-recorded message made by a native English speaker. You can phone these scammers directly on their office numbers at 404-474-4911, 647-247-0890, 801-882-2460, 530-287-2822, 408-459-0479, 210-776-1291, 314-666-9790, 888-533-5887.

Unknown caller, so never answer or call back. Googled this number, which showed *many* searches AND complaints that is a fraudulent spoofed Citibank help line calling. 100% this is NOT a legitimate call, since - for example - I don't have any Citibank cards or accounts, so would not legitimately be calling me. If YOU get a call from this number and YOU do have a Citibank account, then call the number on your card or statement paperwork. NEVER give personally identifying / account info to incoming calls. You WILL get burned...
