I received a call from this number this evening. I called it back and they were very rude, however said they were calling from "Allied interstate". When I looked them up online, they appear to be a bill collector. But when I asked the woman who they were calling for it was not anyone who lived at our house. Hope this helps.

When the call come in it comes in as a different # 800-440-2843 and when I call it back it is a busy signal one time and the next time I answered it was a recording for someone name Jamie and they never say where they are calling from. I just want them to stop calling my phone and it is not my house phone it is my cell phone.

    Thanks

Got a call from them.  Turns out they're getting sued left and right for unscrupulous practice.  The debts they're calling for might not even be valid.  Better to deal with your original point of collection.  Don't give Allied Interstate your money.  They're dirty.

They've called my daughter's cell phone many times.  Too bad you can't block calls on your cell phone (or so says my carrier).

I've got this call from Jaimie, from allied instructing me to call back(recording), this is going on for a month, I pay my bills and have no outstanding debts, I know how collectors operate from watching 20/20 on tv, so I won't call her back, I even filed a complaint with the ohio attorney general over allied calling me, because my number is on a do not call list.
Hopefully the attorney general does thier job and stop these crooks.
I hate to change my number over this nonsense.

I have been out of town for a week and just returned. I had a voice mail message from this company every day of the week I was gone, same time same person (Jamie).  She tells me to call them back, I called back today and her voice mailbox was full.  I owe no money to these clowns, have excellent credit and never have had any outstanding debts whatsoever.

This calling needs to stop immediately, I think someone needs to put a stop to this nonsense.  If you look these people up online you can see the first thing that comes up is CONSUMERS BEWARE !

This number calls me at least once a week. Whenever they call I'll pick up the phone and hang up immediately. It would be really nice if there were a way to block these fools from calling. Is there anyone we might be able to report them to?

Calls my place of business at least twice every other day.  When I answer, it automatically goes to a recording with a different name and message to call back for a very important message and that "this is not a sales call".

The number 800-440-2843 has called my cell phone numerous times.  I confronted them about calling my cell phone and the man who answered hung up.  I then called back and an ebonics speaking/ ignorant type of fellow answered and told me (and I quote) "you don't know what you got and you need to stop yellin".  That pretty much sums up the type of company that is calling our phones.  I know for a fact that I have zero outstanding bills.  This is obviously some scam where they are trying to get our checking acct/ credit card info.

I have received quite a few calls from these people as well. The first and second times I told them they had the wrong number. After that I would not answer. I mentioned the problem to one of my friends who works for the police department and he told me to go on record with them (the only way to do this without them hanging up on you is to ask to speak to a supervisor who will not answer so you will get their voicemail). I stated my name, the phone number they were calling and that I was not who they were looking for. I also stated that I was recording the call as well and that if I received one more call from them I would be filing harrassment charges against them. Any calls they make to my number after this I can file and sue them.

This number has been calling me for a while now. They have never left a message and I have never picked up. After reading all of these postings I know now who it is. The funny thing is I don't own a credit card and have no outstanding bills... odd

This number started calling my home never times a day. We would never answer the phone when they called and they would always leave a message telling us to call them back (never gave the name of who they were calling for). They have since gotten a hold of my cell phone number and call that one daily but never do they leave a message for me.

I think it is a phishing scam (800-955-3103). Lately they have been leaving some automated messages saying they are from "Allied". But not the insurance company. The message will claim that you have a debt that you are liable for. They imply legal action. I personally do not have any credit or debt with ANY company with the name "Allied" in it. What irritates me is that they call my cell phone.
They never give me any more info other than that they want me to call the 800 number. Personally, I do not call this number. If I had a debit I was legally responsible for, I would be getting mail notices.
Again, I feel this is a phishing scam.

call said, "please hold for an important message" then went to a busy signal.  I called back (after putting in *67 to block my number) and it was a busy signal.  Nice to know I can get more info here... This is the first one I've gotten that I know of.  And, like a lot of you, we are debt free...

I had a message this afternoon from a very cheerful girl with a southern accent saying to call her back at 1-800-955-3103.  I don't tend to call those messages back, particularly when they don't leave any information in the message, such as, oh, I don't know, where they're calling from or what they're calling regarding.  I called this one back, though, and got an answering machine?!?

"You've reached Allied Interstate, if you would, please leave your name, number and the time of your call."

A lot of nerve, calling, leaving no information, and then expecting that I would leave all of mine on a machine.  Sounds like a scam.  Or possibly scamola.
