You can't be "non-compliant" to an 'outsourcing department' of an unknown company, in this case, its scammers.

A vague scare tactic message designed to panic a victim into calling back.

Most debt collectors will use a certain amount of pressure to convince you to pay the debt. After all, they often don't get paid unless you pay. Be suspicious of a debt collector who uses an unusual amount of pressure to get you to pay immediately, particularly if they also use scare tactics to get you to pay right away. For example, a debt collector is scamming you if it :

• threatens you with a lawsuit and tells that you can avoid the lawsuit by paying right away
• Says a Process Server  or Courier is coming with papers to sign
• Threatens to call / go to your place of employment
• Insists you have been notified, served or are non-compliant via phone message(s)
• Refuses to give a company name or verifiable Contact source
• Refuses to send proof of debt via US mail

A sure sign of a debt collection scam is a collector that wants to you to pay via wire transfer or another method that can't be traced. If the payment method can't be traced, you'll have a harder time getting the authorities involved.

If the creditor sounds completely foreign, or you know you never had an account with that business, there's a chance it's a scam. Never pay a collection you don't recognize. You have the right to request written proof of the debt from the debt collector before you send payment.

Yes I keep getting this call every day.  Should I answer?  I prefer not to answer.  How long will this continue though?

The message in itself is a lie, so use your judgment on how to handle it, now that you are aware. Be warned though, if you call any toll free number, they WILL see the number you are calling from in the CID, since it can't be blocked or spoofed on their caller ID.

The people associated with this number called me 10 times since Fall 2018 and called me last night.  David Morse may also be the same person as Howard Tunic and Alex Thompson. I call these people The "We-will-have-to-report-your-noncompliance Gang"

I pressed 1 to speak with a live person. They were using my maiden name, which I have not used since 2001. When I got to a live person they wanted me to verify my personal information and when I said that I wouldn't do that until they told me what this was about they hung up on me! RUDE! also, non professional. If this were legitimate they would have talked to me. Also had an obvious foriegn accent.

Just got this voicemail. I am using a phone app so I could disconnect it any time. I just block numbers like this.

Called me spoke to a rep who wouldn't tell me any info until I verf'd my social. Then called me back and cussed me out on my voicemail.  🙄😂🙄

They won't tell me any info just that I broke a contract with my name and social security number.

Called threatening lrgal action for a " claim". I have not purchased anything on credit in years. I don't even have a car.

These people are [***]!  I love calling them back and repeating the message to them!!  Haha

Just got the same situation.  "We are calling in regards to case number D57231.  If we do not get a call...blah blah blah".  I pressed "1" and was transferred to a lady asking if she could verify the last four digits of my social.  I told her "no" and she hung up on me.  I blocked the number ad kept it moving.  Bye [***].

the key here is... they have been calling since the Fall of 2018 threatening to report as non-compliant...so what is stopping them?  Do it already.  I decided this tactic and they hung up on me hahaha,  "how much do I owe?  2500 dollars but you will take 475 now to settle it?  Hmmmmmm, I guess I could sell one of my guns...nah, I will keep it, why don't you come over and we'll talk it over in person?"  click.. lol, I have never owned a gun in my life!

Someone named Mathew Stafford called and said there was a case in his office (#DS10887), and that a complaint has been filed against me.  If I don't call back, the case will be sent for processing......scammmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!

Yes they are indeed Scammers. What I enjoy doing (as I am an Attorney) -- is quoting from the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) the Violations being committed during the call that may very well have my case dropped (until I counter); which may likely have them owing me, at minimum, court costs. So by all means: Report me. :)

They told me I owe $1165 for a payday loan from The Cash Store. If I was willing to make arrangements they would take off $400. I kept asking questions to get more info but when I told them that store doesn't exist where I live they said they would get me the specifics and put me and hold and didn't return.

Just started receiving calls regarding old debt for my deceased mother who passed 10 years ago. She was unable to pay off credit card debt with her meager SS and disability income prior to having to use Medicaid for her final year as a nursing home resident where all funds were taken by the state.  She was at that point 'Uncollectable' as far as the law went.  So after she passed all creditors were informed nothing available as she passed penny-less. Nothing for over 9 years and now out of the blue this idiot calls twice in three days and from different phone numbers both times.  Too hard to try and block but will just ignore the calls as meaningless.

They call me once a week for the past few months. They use an automated message. I don't pick up. I just keep blocking the number but they will call me from another 1800 number with the same stupid SCAM message. Do not pick up the phone!

I just checked my voicemail and I received the same thing. saying his name is Matthew and they received a complaint about me in their office and I have a file number and if I don't respond within 10 days then they're going to assume it's legit
