Dangit. I called it back before business hours, trying to get a business name on a voice mail box. Hopefully I don't get flooded with calls now. It was an old message from May 6th. New name to add to the list...Matthew Steppord (Stepford??). Ugh.

I have gotten these calls on and off for years and always for the same account which I did have in the early 2000s but took care of with one of them saying they were going to my place of work to be arrested and proscuted in my county. I was terrified and so I paid it. Then every now and then I get called for the same account so I called the corprorate office and they stated that I had no existing accounts and that even if I did that is not how their company handles outstanding debts. Then I called my local county courts and NO such judgement was ever existed. Then I looked up the number on Google and it popped up as SCAM!!!

You did not "take care of it", all you did was pay a criminal extortion money.  Which is why they are still calling you.  Your name is now listed on the easy marks list.

What do you expect the police to do about unwanted phone calls?

Haven't you heard?  The PD now has a little tiny police car with two officers inside.  They bring it over to the recipients house and it goes into the phone.  It then runs with lights and siren screaming so that everyone's telephone conversations, faxes, online stuff, etc. get out of the way.  It pops out of the other phone, grows back to full size and then cites the offending party! :)

David Morse called me from some outsourcing department. The message is the same as the others. I have not the slightest idea what the man is talking about. He even quoted me a case number.

I got verbatim the same message as the other callers, though I had Matthew Stafford/Stepford as the alleged rep. I have been monitoring my credit obsessively over the years, and I belong to a credit monitoring service, so I know perfectly well that there is no debt or whatever. They said that there was a "complaint," so I feared for a minute that my house-proud neighbor had gone to city court to complain about a tree that is, in fact, in *another* neighbor's yard and festooned with all manner of trash plant vines (poison ivy and wild grape) that get into everyone's yard.   However, the city tries to resolve things out of court and will, if needed, just saw down the offending tree (good. The crazy neighbor who won't cut his grass can have the city taking down the tree and then pay them the $200). I filed a complaint with the FTC for scam robocalls.

Looks like your credit is not the only thing you are obsessively monitoring over the years. You must be a delight at the neighborhood pool parties, bless your heart!  Ignore the calls and get help for your tendencies.

    Tee hee
No, I really don't care about the tree all too much. I've just grown tired of the inter-neighborhood blame game. I jgot tired of the wealthy guy behind the fence throwing garbage over into our yard because he couldn't get the cut vines to go back over the fence where they originated. And I wouldn't care about the hay crop next door if it weren't harboring snakes that the property owner shoots 20 feet from my house.

Well now I'm getting interested as soon as the subject turns to snakes and firearms. I understand that wild hogs will eat snakes - go right in a thicket after them - but I not sure that puts you ahead since they have a temperament and temperament makes 'em notional and the next thing you know you have a hog problem. Nature is prodigal.

Well you could take care of the hog problem with bigger snakes.  I hear Florida has a lot of really big ones they want to get rid of.  Of course then you have to bring in the 'gators to take care of the bigger snakes.
