I have automatic scam caller blocking service on my Verizon wireless account.  This number is so well known to them as a scammer that they auto-blocked the call and the msg on my screen was HIGH THREAT SCAM.  Even Verizon knows this is a scammer.  Do not take their call.  I had a voice mail from them once before and called Cap One directly, they never heard of me, no account with them.  SCAM SCAM SCAM

Total scam. Same message as the others, but have never had a card with them! Do not call them back!!!!!

Transcript on voicemail. Call from ‭+1 (805) 697-1879‬ in Santa Ynez, CA.

Hello this is Ashley calling from the underwriting department regarding your capital one credit card account based on your recent payment activity and balance you may be eligible for an interest rate reduction to as little as 1.9% there is additional information I need to confirm your eligibility so please return my call directly in the underwriting department at 1-800-969-4345 once again 1-800-969-4345 this will be the only notice you will receive and this offer is only valid for three business days thank you…”

I do not have and actually never had a capital one account but yet I got this message...

Ashley from Capital one about a great interest rate I could have on my account.  I doubt have an account out card with them so....

Same experience as everyone else reported. I returned voice mail call and guy sounded legit He asked my name and said my name wasn't associated with the number he had and he needed to terminate the call.

Just another phishing scam. Please don't give these people your information. If you want to lower your rate, call Capital One directly. These callers are likely not even in the USA. I received this message and I do not do any business with Capital One.

I got the exact same message from Ashley at Capital one after I called about an interest charge on my bill.

I guess they're back at this scam.  Just received a call from "Capital One" saying they'll reduce my rate.  I never had a credit card with them.

Exact same message I received. And I don't even have a Capital One account.
