This definitely is a scam. I haven’t used my credit card in YEARS , so I’m pretty sure it’s a Scan operation fishing 🎣 for people’s banking/credit card and other personal information

This number is a scam and Wells Fargo will not call you unless it is their frauds department. The Fraud Department will ask you to call the number on your card.

This is a scam. It’s not the right number to WF collection department. I was not late and my payment on auto and I constantly get calls from this number. I called WF to complain and stop calling and they told me it was a scam.

They call the time, I pay my payment every month yet the say I owe more, I do not.
This is harassment...I text them , so this is a scam ..

Its a scam for me! The guy that called the other guy a moron must be the scammer 😂. I have a wells Fargo account so I logged in to the real Wells Fargo site and my card was paid up, as I always pay it a week before its due.

I think it’s scam they call me about my credit card but I don’t have any wells Fargo credit card ..

I missed their call.  Called back, thought it was Wells Fargo, keyed in my Debit card number, it responded unknown account.  Being suspicious I called WF using the number on the back of my card.  Bottom line, my debit card has been cancelled.  I should have checked this thread sooner.

While it is all well and good to look the number up your first and foremost action should always be to call your bank at their known, published phone number on the back of the card, your bank statement, or their official website.  Always.

This is not a real wells fargo call or text. Wells fargo confirmed that it is a phishing scam. They just want your personal/account information. Wf.Com is not the real wells fargo website, it only looks like the real site. It is a dupe to make you put your account info in. 1-800-988-8019 is not wells fargo. Banks do not send text messages from this number, they use 5 digit numbers to text such as 93557. Do not give these people your information. Do not click the links in this text message. Do not answer this call. Call wells fargo yourself using the number listed on google to confirm with a manager.
