Hey,
I am selling this car because my unit will be sent back to Afghanistan and don't want it getting old in my garage. The price is low because I need to sell it before September 22th. The car is in great condition and runs great. No damage, no scratches, never involved in an accident. It is still available for sale if interested, price as stated in the ad is US $2900 The car is in New Rockford, ND; in case it gets sold I will take care of shipping.
I will ship it with DAS. I will take care of the shipping charges, like I said. I think I can have it there in 3-4 working days. I am a member of the eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection and using this service you will get a 3 days testing period after delivery.
During that 3 days testing period I will not be getting any money. I need to know if you are interested in buying it so I can ask eBay to send you the details on how this works. If interested please include in your next email your contact info for eBay (name, address and #) so we can get things started.
Thanks!- Caller: henrymutterjr@gmail.com

- Jillybean replies to CutterI RESPONDED TO AN AD ON CRAIGSLIST FOR A 1999 HONDA ACCORD WITH LOW MILES AND VERY CHEAP, THIS IS THE EMAIL I RECEIVED BACK:
Hello,
I'm SGT Wayne Vega. My 1999 Honda Accord is in perfect working condition, this detailed vehicle makes the exterior look like it just came off the assembly line The car have only 62,500 miles. This is the second time when I try to sell my vehicle...First time I tried eBay because every time I only use 100% safe methods and I've sent the vehicle through the eBay Vehicle Purchase Protection Program to a buyer from Alaska. I paid the shipping and insurance costs and when eBay requested the payment he refused to pay. Why? ... because he agreed to purchase the Vehicle in the first place, but typically didn't had the necessary amount to do so. ...if you don't have the funds available, you can't get the vehicle. For the time being, my vehicle is on eBay's hand and it's ready to be delivered to the next buyer. My price on it is $1,800. The eBay auction ended last week and the guy from Alaska was the winning bidder. He could not pay for it. I need a new buyer to register to my eBay transaction. I am in Camp Pendleton MC Base in training, getting ready for Afghanistan . The vehicle and its documents are in the DAS auto shipping warehouse waiting to be delivered. My wife just gave birth to my forth kid; I need all the money I can get to leave to her. Also, I hope to sell the car before we depart to Afghanistan . It's fully paid for, fully functional, the title is clean. Shipping, insurance and eBay fees have been paid since the previous transaction. I am a member of the eBay buyer protection program and using this service you will get a 15 days testing period after delivery. The transaction will be made only through eBay. eBay will be the third party that will hold the money till you will receive and inspect the car. If the car meets your expectations and you want to keep it you will have to tell them to release me the payment details so I can get paid. Reply me with your full name and shipping address so eBay can contact you regarding the payment and shipping process.
Let me know your thoughts,
SGT Wayne Vega

- FootballMom replies to VinnyBe careful of Craigslist as well. I got identical responses for 3 different apartment rental listings - from Andrew McCoy, Robert Banks, and Tod Mortonson. From my research, they are also doing Help Wanted scams as well. For both of these, they want you to get a copy of your credit report prior to seeing the rental or sending you an employment application. I doubt their link for the credit report is legit, they just want your personal info for their own use.
- ms562rThank goodness I decided to do some research before my son put out $4600 for a motorcycle. He received the email/invoice about sending the money to a third party through "eBay safeharbor". I decided to google the vin # and low and behold there it is in a multitude of scams. I realized that on the invoice they sent that you could not click on the user agreement or the privacy policy plus the copyright of the "website" was only 2010. The thing is I live in Montana and I told my son to tell them I would like to come and see it in person before the purchase. Thank you so much for taking the time to post. I am hoping this will save people money and become more aware. The invoice came from the email: eBay <office@auto-moto-transactions.com. The email he received reads like this:

I also wanted to say that they are using the same Vin #'s as listed in other complaints on this site. - Shana replies to SaraI was almost scammed by someone going by the name 'Sharon Sullivan'. Thank goodness I looked this person up and found out they have done this many times and sent several people almost the same email, word for word.
Please do not give this horrid person money! They claim they are stationed in Great Falls, MT and preparing to leave for Afghanistan. - Tommykay replies to ConniemakThe Jerry Eubank fraud has been emailing for over two weeks. There are too many scams signs to mention, including the same text found here. As of December 2010 he is still using the same scam, still pretending to be a GI headed for Afghanistan.
Most important is this: law enforcement doesn't care. I have called everywhere. They all shrug this off. Western Union doesn't care, eBay doesn't care. Don't bother trying to find Jerry Eubank. Nobody is even trying to catch him. Notice he's been using the same email address and name for eight months, he's not concerned with being caught.

> > Regards!!! - tommykayThis fraud also uses a fake set of emails which pretend to be eBay buyer protection. Email actually goes. to representative.com, which is a known fraud operation. The email is attached to the end of this message.
Note you are not really dealing with eBay. Jerry walks into any Western Union in New York State with no ID, and has your money in minutes. He can't be traced or caught. You won't get a refund. eBay, Western Union, and every law enforcement office has shrugged when I called. That's why this fraud proliferates.
