two missed calls, called back says that the number is not a working number or has been disconnected.

Call on answering machine PCR 801-618-2020 no message

I got a call from this number on my cell at 4:06 pm (I'm also with Sprint) and when I answered no one was on the line. Tried calling it back but there was a "disconnected" message. Is it just coincidental that I opened a credit card the day before?!

I have also been getting calls to my Cell phone from this number.  2-3 rings then hang-up.  This is harassment as far as I am concerned.

I have seen a few post about randomly or sequentially generated phone numbers - I don't see how a company's laziness and cheapness in proffering customer contact info in any way absolves them from following the DNC laws.  If only laws were enforced without massive lawsuits, we wouldn't need great sites like 800Notes.

I've been receiving phone calls from this # for about 2 weeks now. The phone rings about 2 or 3 times and I always just miss the call. There are no messages left and when I call it back I get a recording that the number is not in service. I just put my # on the Do Not Call list a couple of weeks ago and it is supposed to take 30 days to come into effect, but I think it is somehow related.

they called at 11:00 am on a saturday. WHen i went to pick up there was nobody there. I am glad i found this site so i can block them. Thanks!

I've received 2 calls from them in the past 2 days. 1 at 6:50 last night, and 1 a few minutes ago, 3:40pm. I called back and it rang and rang.

Have received two or three calls from them in the few days.  Even got one toady (SUNDAY at 1135am).  Didn't reach the phone in time.  They leave no messages I only see the number with PCR and the date/time.

Received a call from PCR, something to do with a survey on diapers, she was pleasant asked a few questions - I thought maybe I'd get a coupon or something since I have a small child - then she said she was done. Not sure what information she could have gotten from her questions, she didn't even ask what diapers I bought........now I'm afraid it was a scam.

This number started calling about a month ago...every evening at dinnertime.  I called the phone co.  They said they could put a tap on my phone, but needed a police report with agency, case ID#, officer's name, and contact info.  Then they would tap for 30 days.  Ironically, the calls stopped, I did not set up a file with the local PD.  Today received another call.  I've called the # back, only to get a "disconnected" message.  If I answer the call, all I get is a dial tone.

Called today (Sunday, Nov 25, 2007). When I said "hello" no one answered and when I tried to call back I got a disconnect number.

I am getting these calls on my cell phone, an AT&T cellular phone / number.  Same complaints - no one on the line, no ability to call back, no voicemail message left.

I am receiving calls as well.  Only getting dail tone when its answered.  I blocked the number from calling me any more.

This happened to me tonight.It rang 4 times. When I called the number back, I did this several times to make certain I had the right number, I received the following message: We are sorry but you have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service." I am like yeah right that is the reason they just called me from this number. So something fishy is definitely up with this.

I have receive 4 calls from this company.  I told them I was reporting them.  They said that they are not included in the DO NOT CALL because they are not telemarketers

I'm in the business of data management, and I think I know what's going on here. PCR is undoubtedly doing research on times of day people answer their phones, or something similar. They have an automated system that dials your number at different times of day, and enters different values depending on what happens - say, "1" for answered, "2" for busy, "3" for answering machine (though I don't know if they can discriminate between types of answer), "4" for no answer. It costs them virtually nothing, and they end up with detailed data on your phone answering behavior. They then sell the data to telemarketers, who use it to determine ideal times to call you. Best thing to do:  let it ring.

These people call every day at about 2PM PST.  I don't pick up unknown numbers with weird acronyns on the caller ID and they never leave a message.  I have not called them back.  YET!  
My number is unlisted and is on the National DNC list.

I receive calls from this number every day, usually in the morning, or in the evening around 7 or so.  We are also on a do not call list.  I finally called the number back and got a recording saying that this numnber is no longer in service.

received several calls from 801 618-2020, We are on the Do not call list, asked how they got our number caller said it is random dialing.  we asked this caller to not call us agian.  Rec'd another call the following day caller asked to speak to a member of our family by name, I asked who and what they were calling about caller insisted on speaking directly with this family member and unable to discuss the nature of the call.  I told them to never call the number again.  I have a feeling this will not be last I  hear from them, and filed a complaint with the FCC.
