I keep getting calls from this number and they don't leave a message

Received a call from this number on my cellphone; phone rang three times, then hung up. I called and received an "all circuits are temporarily busy" message. Annoying.

I responded to an e-mail from Southwest Airlines when they offered me a $500 voucher. I thought it had something to do with previous travel with the airlines.  They asked me to then fill out a survey which asked if I wanted to continue my education.  I thought that was an odd question for an airline  to ask. I exited out but not after I gave "Southwest" my phone number.  Now I'm getting calls on my cell phone from 801-642-0240, which is a career college in Utah.  I'll NEVER open an e-mail from anyone that I don't know again.  I just delete without reading.

They just called

"Jeff" from ????? knew my name (how, I don't know).  He asked me about education - told him not interested.  I didn't sign up for anyone to call me about education.  He (or someone else from the same company) has since called my cell phone 3 more times.  I just don't pick up once I see the number 801-642-0240.  I, like many others am on the "no call" list.  What a joke that is!!! I still get telemarketers.  Does anyone know how to block a number that comes in on a cell phone?  ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!!!

I do not want calls from this number

They called for my husband and said he signed up for classes online and he did not. They then hung up, but we keep getting calls on our caller ID. this is very annoying.

I get these calls at least once a day - I want them to stop.

I just got a call from this number. It was a lady named Bonnie and she said I filled out something online a day or two ago about their online college corses. She asked me if I were interested, but I told her I already go to school. I do believe this number is somehow connected with a certain 954 number that is so famous around here. After I got a call from a rude lady there, I called a DNC list number and they took me off. 10 mins later I get a call from this place. It's so weird. I didn't sign up for anything.

I would call 1-877-340-2600 and see if they're connected with this number.

801 is out of Utah

They call my cell asking for my fiance...I found this very strange until I just read this message board. Now I know not to answer this number again.

801-642-0240 has called my house three times today.  Caller ID reads "One On One Mark".  I picked up this evening at about 5:30 p.m. and someone hung up.  I, too, am on the "Do Not Call" registry.  This number has also called other days and times and it shows up on my caller ID.

i got a phone call from 1-801-642-0240.  i don't know who called me.  i called back, nobody answered the phone.  i searched on the internet and found out 1-801-642-0240 was on the unwanted call list.

They just started calling. I do not know why, but caller ID says - One on One Mark - 801-642-0240... I never give out the phone number they called on!

a wierd recording

My family received a call from this number at 08:54PM, Friday, January 11, 2008. The caller asked for a family member by name, and informed me he was responding to a request for information from this family member.  Interestingly enough, the family member named happens to be my very young (pre-teen) daughter.

Obviously, as a concerned father, I instantly began demanding as much information as I could get.  I asked how my daughter had contacted them; they would not provide that information.  I asked for their company name; they hesitated, and then said, “The Career Institute.”  I asked for a corporate address and phone number; and was told none existed.  

At this time I told the caller that I was very concerned with the fact that he was attempting to make telephone contact with my daughter who happens to be a very young minor child.  This must have made the caller uncomfortable because in an apparent moment of weakness, he indicated that first contact with their company had most likely been initiated by someone through an internet “pop-up.”  At this time, I informed him that I was also concerned about the possibility that some form of identity theft may be underway and inquired if their company utilizes any form of IP tracing, not surprisingly, I was told they do not.

I instructed the caller to remove my daughter’s name from their list, and refrain from attempting to make contact in the future.  The call ended at this time.
