I don't know why iam on the donotcall.gov.list it doesn't make a difference .I have been getting calls the last two weeks .I didnt not pick up when this number called but iam tired of it..

This is the second onw I've gotten.  This time on my cell phone.  I have a plan where I pay $2.00 for any day I use the phone.  If i receive a call one day it costs $2.00.  But I can make any number of calls that same day and it's still $2.00.  This call cost me $2.00 today.

The call was supposedly was for lowering your interest rate on my credit card.  I told her it was hard to lower it any lower than it was since I don't have a credit card.  She hung up.

i get these calls from these people and i have switched phones about 3 times in the last few months but they seem to keep calling. finally i figured out that they are getting the numbers off the dnc registry because that is the only link in all of my phones. none of them have plans and i never leave a message like "call this # instead" so that must be the way. its always some stupid scam and im getting sick of it. the other day i had one call me and i told him wrong number stop calling here and he argued with me that this was the right # and that i was someone else for about ten minutes. i was angered/amused by this finally told him i didnt care and that i would find him if he kept calling me. that # stopped but the other ones continue just wish i didnt have to deal with these jerks all the time. im not some confused citizen who will give out info over the phone to strangers!!!

Was called by these folks today on my cellphone.  Same as below, credit card consolidation recorded message, press "9" to be transferred.  I filled out an FCC complaint form on them!  Go to FCC.gov to file a complaint.

Calls two times a day regarding better rates on credit card will not remove the number from calling list

I'm on the No Call List and need them to not call my cell phone again.

someone wanting to consolidate our credit cards....went I informed him I don't have cards he argued he could get me a better rate. so I asked him how he could get me a better rate since I was granted bankruptcy just last month and have No cards.

They have called me repeatedly

Showed up on my caller id.

That doesn't work, either. I've been on the National Do Not Call Registry for five years and got a call from this number. I will file the usual complaint with NDNCR, and as usually happens, the calls will stop. It's a pain in the ass to have to report all these numbers, but that's the only way, and sometimes even that doesn't work. If you repeat a complaint the next time the same number calls, the Registry will eventually get the idea that you might want the caller to stop. Don't forget, these guys are government workers.

Being harassed by numerous unwanted phone calls several times a day!
Now I want these calls stopped ASAP!

Since it is an automated dialer, press # or * several times. It throws the computer off and should throw out your number. The computers dial numbers in sequence order, it does not matter if it was a home phone, cell or fax machine.

Maybe everyone needs to use a prepaid phone and make tons of calls to them and so they see how it feels. Clearly the national do not call list only covers those companies willing to comply.

"Card Services" couldn't care less about the DoNotCall registry. They're criminals! Reporting them doesn't help because they have not intention of obeying the law.

They change the CallerID number constantly to evade identification and the authorities. They keep calling because it works. They scam enough people every day to make it worth their while.

Know who they are, how they operate, and they won't be able to scam you. By looking the number up and reading these posts, you've already defeated them!

Card Services is a scam, pure and simple. They couldn't care less about the DoNotCall registry. They're breaking the law anyway, so why would they be concerned? They use autodialers until they get a hit and then keep trying until they convince someone to give them information.

They are nearly impossible to track and they've been in operation for years.

They try to get credit card numbers and other pertinent information. Sometimes they'll sell you a non-existent service (like promising to lower your interest rates) for a fee of over $400. Nothing ever materializes on the interest rate front, and you're out a chunk of change.

Don't give them any info. Call your credit card company directly if there is any question about your account.

Knowledge is power. Use it to defeat the scum.

Called me today - Opens with "This is Rachel at cardmember services..." Only option is to press 9 to speak to a live person.  When I was connected, i told them to remove my number from their list and I was just hung-up on.  I have received calls with this message before.

Got a call from 801-657-8177 today and when calledback line busy/not a valid number. 5/23/2011.

I subscribed to "Do Not Call". These are calls being made illegally!

Also received this call today and immediately filed a complaint with the FCC. Go to their website at fcc.gov and do the same.
