The same number is calling me and asking for Ashley too.  That is weird.

Same here with the calls. Never answered any, but called the number back. Only got the calls for one day, but I don't think I know anyone in jail.

I got the call today, and yes, I called back. It was the Ohio Department of corrections stating an inmate wanted to add me to their call list. It said (automated) they would call 3 times a day for the next 5 days to see if I wanted to accept the calls. They give another number to call if you want the calls to stop. It's an 800 number that I didn't write down because I knew before they rattled it off I would be accepting them.

Just started getting these calls today on my phone. About 3 hours apart and no message left. I'm not going to answer them.

I have been getting 801-758-0647 on my cell phone caller id for the last week or so. I called number back and it told me to call 800-231-0193 if I want my my number removed. I called and like a idiot put in my cell phone number for them not to call me anymore. It told me due to high call volume, someone will call me back in 2 hours. My husband was not happy with me for doing this. I called cell phone provided and they looked up number and it is Global Tel Link Prison Systems. I don't know anyone in prison, so I am assuming they had the wrong number. I learned from this. Will never give out any information.

I am getting calls from this number many times a day... I do have a nephew in prison.. Is he trying to reach me?  How do I know??  I have never had recordings like this before on correctional instution calls.  I want them to stop or let me know immediately who is making the call, so I can respond accordingly...   IMMEDIATELY!!!!

I have been receiving calls more than 3 times a day for a week now from 801-758-0647 and I just called it back today and got the same message that it was Global Tel Link Prison Systems for the dept of corrections in Ohio. As far as I know I dont know anyone in prison so I called the 800 # and they did not have my number on file so I am putting a block on that telephone number today.

You need one of those phones like mine. I use the phone book on the phone and enter a phony name and put the phone number in and than I have it put in at NO RING and never have to run to the phone again.

this is the new prepaid call system from all dept of corrections.  it is not working well, alot of bugs in the system. doesnt cost you a dime, could be your loved one trying to call.  the system is still working through the kinks

Very nice description... thank you.  I have been waiting for this call to be put on a calling list, but didn't know what number to expect to be called from.  I just got it this AM, and will answer later today when they try to call again.  Again, thank you.

if this is from a prison I know no one in prison first of all let alone Utah...sounds like a scam call putting on my block list

This number 801-758-0647 keep calling my cell phone and when I picked it, nothing comes from it.  When I googled the number I read that it is a common number that emanates from the Ohio correctional center.  And the Line Provider is a Global Tel Link.

This number is now calling my cell phone number.  Never been to Utah, don't know any one there.

They threaten to call 3 times a day for 5 days unless I go along with their instructions.  I assume it is marketing. Someone needs to shut them down. We are on the "do not call list.

Global Tel Link is contracted by several state prison systems to manage their inmate calls.  In order to get on this calling list, an inmate in a prison somewhere in the US has requested your number to be put on the call list.  The system calls for at least 5 days straight making 3 attempts a day.  If you say yes, then they stop calling and now the inmate can call you from that point forward.  If you say no, they will still keep calling.  There are instructions for you to call a customer service rep to block any further calls.

I just called that 800 number & the person who answered said it was Ashworth College.  I don't know anyone in Utah, let alone anyone in a correctional facility there.

801-758-0647...calls 3-5 times a day on my cell and land line simultaneouly very annoying...verizon said they could do nothing...att land line they are even more inept bureacrats then the feds...guess ill wait it out,   maybe change my ph #.
