Have been receiving calls from a Utah correctional factility.  Says it will continue to call up to 5 times a day for 5 days.  Do NOT WANT TO RECEIVE THESE CALLS!

Global Tel Link is contracted by several state prison systems to manage their inmate calls.  In order to get on this calling list, an inmate in a prison somewhere in the US has requested your number to be put on the call list.  The system calls for at least 5 days straight making 3 attempts a day.

yes Mandee is right.  This number 801-758-0647 is a service for one or more services.  One being
for inmates to use so they may call home.  The number must call first to get your permission for the company to call you. to state that you will be responsible for the calls and state your name.  I can only remember them saying they were a global////////service company for inmates.  It can be they are established in Utah as Mandee says, but calls all states.  I have a family member in CRC, Columbus, OH.  He is being processed to prison in Ohio.  Thank you Mandee:)

How to get rid of them:
You’ve listed your number with Do Not Call Regestery.
You’ve made complaints to FCC , Telephone Company , ect.
But they still keep calling!
“72 hours” to “remove” you from “their call list” not good enough?
Damn straight it isn’t…you didn’t ask for this harassement….but you can do something about it. I will tell you how in xx easy steps!
1: You need to know “who” they are google the number is a good start.
2:  Answer or Call them back (be poliet but firm). You want the name of the company, the address, their fax number, and the nature of their business.
3: Back to google ...get all the info you can.
4: Call the most important person you can associated with the company in question.
(Start at the top!…President / V.  President / upper management ect)
5: Calmly expalin that you would like to fax them some information concering this matter and ask if they could please remove your number from their call list.
OK …that didn’t work …they are still calling!
6: Tape several pieces of black paper together …tape a small white piece of paper with your # and the simple message “Please stop calling this number”.
7: Next you need a fax machine …don’t have one? …check Craigslist, cheap ones are all over, sometimes for free! Old ones work well for this.  
8: Feed your black pieces of paper (with your “message” so it is scanable) into the machine. You may have to unplug it to get it to stop for next step.
9: Tape the paper together to form an “endless loop”.
10: Call their fax machine and when it answers hit “send”. Let it run untill it disconnects.

Repeat as needed.  You would not believe the mess this will make on their end before their machine runs out of ink.
You should be removed from their list rapidly following this method.
