- pic1assoSimple instructions - If you don't recognize the name or number, don't answer. Don't call them; it's a scam. Like your parents probably told you, don't speak to strangers. And don't rely on the government's Do Not Call list; file a complaint with them. Just add the number to your personal Blocked Caller list then delete the message. This one is from Beverly Hills, CA.
Not every call you receive needs to be answered. You have Caller ID. You know who your family and friends are. Why are you answering calls from strangers? - pic1assoSimple instructions - If you don't recognize the name or number, don't answer. Don't call them; it's a scam. - Jay Beecall came on cell phone...if it's from Utah and is a survey, could be Romney's campaign people looking for support money...like he needs it. I never answer calls from numbers that are not known to our family.
- Miahgot the call from them today. didn't know the number, didn't answer, looked it up, etc. lots of people ask how they got their unlisted number or why they call if they are on the DNC list. I used to work for several survey companies. Firstly, they are exempt from the DNC list because they are not selling anything. Secondly, 99% of the time, the numbers they call come from a computerized number generator. It's just a program that spits out lists and lists and lists and lists and...well you get it, of numbers based on time zone and prefix combinations. So the company has no idea your number is unlisted, or that you are on the DNC list. Best way to deal with survey companies is to politely decline the survey, ask them to remove your number, say thank you, and hang up. In the end, the people doing the actual calling are just folks trying to earn a living somehow too, and honestly appreciate people who are just plain polite, and are more likely to actually remove your number than if you berate them for interrupting your dinner. Hope this helps. (And I'm not sticking up for them, just passing along information. They bother me at inopportune moments as well.)

- Ernest LeducThis is the 5th call this week from this number, I am blocking it, but I am sure in another 6 months, they will start calling me again. This is the 3rd time I have blocked this number to my cell phone!
- amethyst replies to on the do not call list as wellTo all of you stating, "I'm on the Do Not Call List"...please GO to that site...there you will find exactly who is NOT under any suppression...and this is obviously a political call....and guess what...political calls are allowed by the Do Not Call list...
I am getting names and info on who is paying these folks to call...and I am turning this info over to my parties county office because these calls are a plan to turn people against certain candidates...we've already received one from TX that was very libelous...and I am getting this info to all candidates in my county as well, so that they can protect themselves from these predators...this is also one way the TeaBaggers got in back in 2010...
But the Do Not Call list does not block political calls...and guess what....this IS an election year...oh, most of the calls now are FOR voter suppression...which I aml fighting tooth and nail! - amethystWell, to all of you who claim this is a follow-up for Kinkos...I have not used Kinkos.in many years....so I will wager that this is another opposition party political call...
